"Thin but strong material, strongly shapen structure, comfortable. lightweight." 02/01/12
Two years now, carting around everything from a giant blender to a bag of bananas and my whole wardrobe of cloths . It fits stuff and keeps shape no matter, and around the waste feels excellent. Padded straps smooth on shoulders, with heavy loads over long periods of time. Fabric is thin, but strong. South Korea, Philippines, several states, all good. Waist straps are comfortable worn buckled or folded in. Parts involving fit can be adjusted easily while the pack is on. Color is pleasant. It loads well, as you can fill the entire inner cavity, then fill the head cavity, and the pouches on the front, and then easily snap on the stretchy buckles.
"Best pack i've ever owned!" 12/19/11
This is a great pack. It's unbelievably lightweight, but you can still load it up. I use it on everyday camping trips all the way to week long expeditions. Also, it fits within the maximum legal carry on size for most international flights.
"Great Backpack for all of your trips!!" 08/18/11
I did a month long backpacking trip and this bag worked wonderfully. It fit all of my clothing along with my toiletries, food, and other gear. The vented back allowed me to carry the bag through the warm climate of Spain, without getting over heated and all sweaty. The comfortable straps allowed for me to carry the weight of my bag easily. The side straps sat on my waist comfortably without putting any pressure on my lower back. I used it for an entire month straight and still looks like new. Holds up great!!
"The airflow is great, but the weight distribution suffers a tad." 08/18/11
The best ting about this pack is the air flow against your back. I sweat a lot with backpacks, and when I take them off during hard breaks my back is typically saturated and the pack is disgusting. Not so with the Atmos. The inside out straps are ingenious, the trek pole stash is a great little addon, and the plethora of pockets gets a thumbs up.That being said, I tried it out against a Gregory, and while the Atmos is comfortable enough, the Gregory beat it in cushy comfort.All-in-all I think the breathability is worth the (slightly) lessened comfort, but it depends on where you put your value.
"Exellent!" 08/14/11
Look no further, this is the perfect backpack. It's great for backpacking, day trips, rock climbing, traveling, and mountianering. Very ajustable and will fit anyone. Plenty of space and cool compartments. It's also compfertable. A must get.
"Great pack for the avid backpacker" 07/20/11
I have taken this pack on multiple outings and it has easily handled everything that I have thrown at it. More importantly, it is extremely comfortable and has plently of room for everything you will need. I had a Gregory prior to this product, and I can honestly say that I will never go back.
"Best pack I have ever owned!" 07/13/11
I absolutely love this pack! The airspeed suspension works great. On extremely hot days, if I am lucky enough to find some nice cool water, I love to throw my bladder in there for a few minutes to help cool down. The contour design is extremely comfortable. Plenty of pockets. The only flaw, is that it does not stand itself up that well and it is best to just throw your ground-mat on it to help keep it upright while packing. Other than that the only other thing I can tell you is that if you make out with trees long enough, your bound to get bark stuck in your teeth.
"Top product, cuts the mustard down under" 07/10/11
Took this pack on a two night, 42km walk from Hornsby to Hawkesbury and cant say anything bad about it- the non adjustable shoulder straps took a bit of getting used to though, my last pack had very generous wide ones! but by day three you got used to it. Plenty of space for things and handles extra weight well. really top technology in this one!
"Even horses are afraid of its power... but that might of been how bad I smelled." 07/06/11
It was comfortable, even after it was loaded with 40lbs of stuff and dragged 30 miles through the mountains in three days. Lots of pockets to meet whatever stashing needs you have, and it looks pretty spiffy too. The best thing I can say about this bag is the fact that it made it back with out a scratch even after being checked twice at the airport! That's more than I can say about my regular airport luggage.
"An excellent, comfortable and versatile backpack, perfect for multi-day treks!" 06/23/11
I've had this pack for about a year now and I've put many miles on it. I love the cage style back rest that not only allows my back to breath but allows for a bladder to mount outside the bag. This gives a bit more room inside the bag and keeps your water cool in the summer. The pack has nice hip belt pockets that are perfect for quick access. Definitely get fitted at a store before buying, I'm 6'0, 170LBs and I found that the medium fits well. The belt-clips are solid and the straps seem pretty bomb proof. I only wish the pack came with a rain cover. I did a good 10 mile walk in the rain but had the inside lined with a trash bag so I can't attest to how water resistant the material is.
"The Best Pack I have owned" 06/20/11
I was looking to buy a new pack and upgrade from an old bulky pack. A friend recommended Osprey packs to met and I settled on the Osprey Atmos. I have not been disappointed. The hipbelt and shoulder straps look thin, but they feel great and they fit like a glove. The airspeed back is wonderful during the hot and humid summer months. This pack has plenty of room for a week long excursion. The only con I have found so far is the side water bottle pockets, if you fill up the bottom sleeping bag compartment it makes it hard to get the water bottles in and out of the pockets. After owning this pack, I will only buy Osprey from here on out.
"Very comfortable and intuitive pack" 06/14/11
I am not a backpacker. I want to make that clear. I bought this bag since I travel ALOT. I needed a bag that I could fit all my clothes and gear in and carry around major cities (like Chicago). This pack was perfect for my needs. it fit all my clothing, laptop, Nikon DSLR camera, shoes, a few books, you get the idea. Everything I needed to travel with for a 4 day trip fit into this pack. Also, when its fully loaded, the bags suspension worked wonders. It kinda bounces with every step, helping to manage your load. I trucked around Chicago with it fully loaded for a few days, it still gave me some minor shoulder pain, but nothing terrible.
