The Osprey Argon 110 Backpack is a full featured backcountry pack ready for adventure. This backpack is durable and well-constructed out of tough yet ultralight 40d Sil Nylon. Vertical zip access into the main body keeps your gear within easy reach and the easy-access side pocket keeps smaller items close at hand. Compression components prevents your load from shifting and maintains the bag's low profile. The top pocket converts into a portable, padded lumbar bag for smaller excursions. This bag also features removable sleeping bag straps. Post-lunch thoughts: Chinese takeout containers are magical things that make everything about ten times tastier the next day. OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful, Solid, Comfortable, Big I took this pack on a Winter trip up Rainier and I made the mistake of taking a Jansport Whittaker XL to Denali and the shoulder strap ripped off on our way to high camp. Never again.,,,,For training I regularly fill the Argon 110 with 75 - 80 pounds of water, dumbbells and assorted climbing gear and traipse up and down ~70 flights of stairs. On the mountain with several layers of clothing on, the weight is perfectly comfortable; and with just shorts when training on the stairs it's plenty comfortable.,,,,I don't think I'm able to push as much stuff into the Argon as I was able to fit into the Whittaker XL; which is perhaps the only down-side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enough to Carry Most of What You Own (If you're a real backpacker). I recommend this pack primarily for longer adventures. If you are headed for a week on the Appalachian Trail, this is perfect. However, for a weekend trip, it's a bit of an overkill.,,,,If using this pack for a weekend only, it is big enough that you might lose some stuff in the bottom, but If you are traveling lighter, it does have compression strings. The stuff-packs on the sides are GREAT and I used them on the trail all the time.,,,,The one down-side of this backpack is the detachable day pack. It is nice, and I used it quite a bit (because I didn't own a day pack), but the shape is kind of awkward, and it makes you feel more like a hunchback than anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good service & patience from Rusty from Moosejaw + great product Great job Moosejaw & Rusty for getting the backpack right on time to NYC where I visited only shortly! Thanks again! I already had a chance to try it in my 5 days hike in www.luontoon.fi/page.asp?Section=5602 I did 45mi with 55lbs and the Argon 110 carried it with pride, although I had the waistbelt upside down for almost half the hike ... I know, RTFM! It was even more comfortable the right way. Argon 110 is easy to pack, well fitted and comfortable to carry. Once you do all the adjustments required, it sticks to your back like a glue which is good on hiking slippery surfacewet stones etc I bought the Osprey raincover too it's easy to place fast onsnaps and fits into small pocket if n

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional backpack with great beltintegration. Took this backpack out for a test. Filled it up with 45kg and took it for a run in the woods. It transfers the weight well between the hip and the shoulders, however it is a bit hard to get to all the tightening straps when you load it up with that much weight. The model i have is the largest one, 110l, so you can fit your stuff, your GFs stuff and her in it. I did not go and get my belt fitted, so i am looking forward to even a more improved performance after that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from worth every penny, even without the free rain cover and 10% reward points. The hip belt is in another universe compared to the other packs I've used. It handles weight superbly. Plus all the extra pockets make packing and finding gear easy. My first hike with it was in light rain, 8 miles up and down VA mountains with around 50 lbs of gear, and no problems at all. It felt like a lot less weight. I can't wait to take this pack out again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack. Consider the hip belt, though. Great pack. However, note that the pack comes with a custom moldable hip belt. You have to bring it to a certified Osprey dealer so that they can use a proprietary oven-thingamabob to mold it for you. If you don't have a nearby store with one of these Osprey ovens, you'll be missing out on one of the main selling points of this pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for your two week hiking in the mountains! I have used it twice for two longer trips and can only say that it swallows more equipment than you need to bring for a two week trip into total wilderness. The carrying system if the best thing with this backpack and is the main reason I bought it, you can carry well over 25kg without any issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great design and load capacity It feels great on your pack. Well thought of design. Good ventilation on back pad. Frame is sturdy. Weight is reasonable for this size.
