"Great product. Comfortable fit. Lightweight" |
01/29/10 |
| Fits great, adjusts well. I'm 168 and 6 feet tall and the medium fits like a glove. Light weight and very roomy for extended trips. No thrills exterior keeps it from getting snagged on branches. Best pack i have ever owned. And reasonably priced to boot! | |

"great backpack." |

| Fully loaded with 2-man tent and sleeping bag plus 1.5 liters of water the pack weighed in under 25 lbs, and felt lighter on than my North Face daypack. Very balanced and snug-fitting. I feel like I made a wise choice with this one. | |

"Best pack ever." |
06/29/09 |
| I bought this pack after my old one died. I did a a ton of research on all of the best packs out there. I decided on this one because of all it's amazing features. I took this pack backpacking with my two dogs on a 23.5Km hiking trip in Frontenac Provincial Park as a test run after I bought it. It held up amazing well. I love the material, the contoured hip belt, the zipper openings, side straps. I had to order a different sized hip belt to match up with the proper sized torso pack that fit me. But they sell them separately for people who are odd shaped like me. But now the fit is perfect and I love how nicely the pack fits even when it's filled to the brim. | |

"Great pack!" |

| Overall, this pack is excellent. I tried several packs before and this one was the most comfortable and easiest to use. It has a great amount of easy to use storage space and the top can be used as a day pack! | |

"This product seems to be the best there is, and at a great price." |
05/17/09 |
| Having packed and carried it aroundto test it out, this backpack passed with flying colors. I bought a Kelty Redcloud backpack before this, and just wearing that thing for ten minutes made my upper back and shoulders stiff, but walking around with this thing filled for twenty minutes was a piece of cake. The IsoForm hipbelt is VERY comfortable and the structure of the backpack is superb, distributing the weight over where it needs to be. The bag itself is simple and has no extraneous straps and hidden pockets (though it does have enough). The simplicity of it allows me to structure my packing my own way. Other than that, the backpack looks amazing. | |

"At this capacity, nothing can compete" |
04/14/09 |
| I needed a pack that would let me keep hold of most my gear for a multiple weeks in hot, hot weather (Honduras in the peak of summer). While I considered ultra-light packs as well as others from Osprey (Atmos 65), this pack came out on top. It's incredibly comfortable, the airflow back does help cool things down(although you're going to sweat in Honduras regardless) and the weight is isolated to the pelvis better than any other pack I've tried. Not a ton of exterior pockets, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This thing is streamlined, ultra-sturdy, and extremely versatile. Buy it. | |

"Simple, Comfortable, Bomb Proof and plenty of room" |
04/07/09 |
| I love Osprey packs but have come to owning 3 or 4 of them circuitously. This has been due to the combination of incredients required when buying a new pack which include fit, function, style, weight and value. In other words: I didn't set out to buy Osprey packs, just wound up owning them. The Aether 85 Sunburst Medium was purchased primarily for a 2 night summit attempt of Rainier last May (successful !) but I tested it first doing winter overnights in the Whites and Adirondacks. Without mentioning their names, I also tried a couple other big name expedition type packs and found them too heavy and/or too expensive to rationalize for my needs. | |

"Huge, supportive, and bombproof." |
03/28/09 |
| This pack will take any load you can stuff in it. I've carried more than 50 pounds and it is very supportive. Much better than my North Face pack. The hip belt is surprisingly thin but comfy and the mesh/foam back panel is great for keeping your back from getting sweaty. I thought I would really love the ergonomically curved shoulder straps but they seem to dig into my collar bone at times which can get pretty painful on long trips. You really have to play around with the suspension to get it dialed in just right but once you do, it barely feels like you are carrying anything. | |

"Awesome Pack! Comfy and light! Recommended." |
03/18/09 |
| It feels super comfy and light. Even when it is filled to the max, it feels light on your back. It transfers weight to the hips really well. There is even a whistle on the chest strap. Compresses down well if you need it to and holds a lot. I recommend it. | |

"Nice pack!" |
02/20/09 |
| This is by far the most comfortable pack I have worn and hiked with, and my frame is pretty small. This pack is good sized at 85 liters. It has one large main compartment, which also shares space with the sleeping bag compartment. The top lid can be detached and be used as a sort of day/fanny pack, which is enough to hold my lunch, some cameras, extra socks, and a whole bunch of peanuts! It also has an open front outside stretchy pocket. I like the side pockets that lets you fit small bottles angled in them, but I cannot seem to fit anything bigger then a 20 oz when I want it to be angled for easy access. Good Buy!!! | |
