OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bag but I wonder if it is truly 25L. I bought this bag to use for biking to work. For this purpose, it is great. The bag stays off my back keeping it dry. Who wants to see a 2-toned shirt that was a solid color only an hour ago? The quality and comfort of this bag is amazing; however, my only complaint is the size. I wonder if it is truly 25 liters. It might be including the hydration system. I can fit a pair of shoes, my pants, and shirt for work each morning and my bag is filled to the brim (and I took out the hydration pack to get a little more space). I would strongly recommend this bag, but might suggest going one size up from what you think you might need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack! I purchased this hydration pack a few weeks ago and have since taken it on several lengthy day hiking trips,,I love all the pockets and the trekking pole loops! Rain fly is a plus!.The pack is also super comfortable. It is super light and adjusts everywhere. ,,The only negative thing that I have come across with this pack was a bladder leak.On my first hike with the pack, the bladder leaked everywhere. The leak came from the area that the hose attaches to the actual bladder. But Osprey took care of me and replaced it for no charge. ,,Overall, I am super pleased with this hydration pack and would recommend it to anyone that takes extensive day hikes, bikes, or does any trail running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why can't all gear be thought-out and made this well??? Manta25 is the BEST purchase Ive ever made-light years ahead of ANY competition. Ive read reviews about leaks but it turns out the cap is very sensitive to the way its threaded on so just be careful. Comfort is first-class, never conscious as to if Im wearing it. I fit a med kit, 2 mid layer tops, 2 rain shells, lunch & odds & ends w/ ease & could've fit more. The isolated reservoir pocket & the bite valve magnet are pure genius. On the trails I notice blue hydration tubes dangling off of everyone else's shoulder straps while mine is secure & out of the way. The isolated pocket for the reservoir enabled me to pull it out on the trail to check water levels w/out disturbing anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made pack with a lot of features Bought this pack to carry climbing gear. The bladder and straps are great, and the pack has several compartments ideal for carrying keys, sunglasses, etc. My one complaint is that the shape of the suspension system limits the carrying capactiy of the bag. When you unzip the main compartment, you can see the plastic suspension protruding into what could have been useable pack space. As a result, the pack seems a lot smaller than 25L. The 22L pack this one replaced could definitely hold more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Pack is Awesome! Just got this pack and it is awesome! It distributes the weight so evenly that you forget it is even there. Plenty of space for what i need and super light. Osprey really gets the small details right on their packs. The rain fly is very helpful in wet conditions. Defiantly glad that I decided to go with this pack

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the money I've purchased this bag back in April for day hikes and mountain biking. Comfortable, durable, its back ventilation design is awesome, holds plenty of water and roomy enough for that extra food, gear I need for a day. ,,Also Moosejaw was kind enough to throw in a free day pack ($50 value) w/coupon. Thanks!:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice. Great Ventilation, Super Light. This pack isn't gunna hold the world, but that wasn't what I was looking for. Delivers water flawlessly, holds your odds and ends (plus your rainshell) with ease, and has great ventilation. Really really nice hydration pack. Osprey's the way to go. Wish I got the 30, but that was my mistake. Recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WHAT! A Moosejaw's gonna be in KC too!!! I bought this at the store in boulder for my backpacking trip to Glacier. This is the best day pack I have ever bought. Came with a hydration bladder and ample room for gear and snacks. It also comes with a rain cover, which is the best part! Definitely an amazing product (can't go wrong with Osprey).
