"Perfect pack for a day at the crag"  01/23/12

I got this pack (M/L) because I needed a little extra space. I can now throw a helmet, two harnesses, 1 pair of climbing shoes, two 25 ft. cordelettes, about 12 quickdraws and a handful of biners into the main compartment. The daisy chains on the sides and two gear loops are great for quickly clipping shoes, harness, etc. and moving on to the next route. An extra compartment up top fits wallet, headlamp, tape, etc. This pack and my rope bag are all I need for a day of sport climbing.

"Put that monkey on your back in this fly-ass pack"  01/02/12

Got a monkey on your back? Wanna shake that thing? Toss him in this Osprey pack, zip it full-round and choke him out with these incredible compression straps. Then, toss your bladder in the separate compartment, put your best kept secrets in the hip pockets and set out for a wild weekend. The only thing I didn't love about this pack is the lack of organization pockets inside the pack and sleeping bag compression straps on the bottom.

"Amazingly Spacious Day Pack"  12/20/11

I have had this pack for over a year and a half now, and I would recommend it to anyone! You can cinch it down so it is nearly flat on your back, or open it up to hold enough for an ultralighter's full blown backpacking trip. I could fit a down sleeping bag, one man tent, prolite thermarest, and some food in this bag no problem. It is great for many uses and has several pockets all over. The only con I would say is that the small top pocket is a little tough to get into when packed full, but its not even that much of a pain. This pack is very form fitting, and the only down side I have had with that is that it restricts your head movement while skiing just a tad.

"Great Comfortable Pack for Travel and Trekking"  07/21/11

Used this for three months of hiking in the Colorado Rockies last summer and a semester abroad traveling through Europe. This pack held up great! Super comfortable and roomy. Fit great and really adjustable. Highly recommended!

"Its a great day bag"  06/20/11

So I used this bag over the weekend when climbing a 14er in Southern Colorado and i was amazed at how much it really helped and could back all into the bag. I had about 14lbs of stuff when we did the 5 mile trip up to 14,000ft, and I felt great the whole time. I've read some reviews about the straps and when i used the waist straps they felt really comfortable because lets be honest, you are only carrying up to about 25lbs of stuff max in this bag so they aren't mean to be super padded. All in all the bag feels great, though I do wish there was a couple little pockets to put things inside the main compartment. I'm 5' 11" and ordered the M/L and fits great.

"Daypack comes with all the features you need for basic hiking, and more technical outings."  03/23/11

After trying out several packs I found the Kestrel 32. With a simple frame, it provides enough support to transfer the load to the hips. The panel loader design is easy to access, a real plus to get at camera gear. The two belt and one top pocket are small but can be used for small items. Note the top pocket is in the main compartment so filling it costs you a little bit of internal space. A perfect hybrid, the Kestrel 32 maintains the size and flexibility of a daypack while the AirScape backpanel, torso adjustable harness and diecut slotted hipbelt will give you the support and strength of a full backpack.

"All Around a great pack"  01/28/11

I have been using this pack for trips for several years now. First experience with it was one that I borrowed from a friend to take to climb Kilimanjaro. It was perfect as the day pack to carry all the essentials and more. I have since purchased one exactly like it (Sorry to copy you Dustin) and have used mine for everything as well from 14ers in CO to a carry on for flights. I would compare it to a little dog. Tough sucker that thinks its a bigger pack. In all seriousness, it works for every application. I have even seen it used as a multi-day pack.

"Great pack for day trips."  06/18/10

The product is very durable and holds all the gear I need for a day of climbing. I love the rain cover so my gear doesn't get wet. However, the color in the picture is deceiving; it is not actually those colors. The lichen is actually a darker green, and there is no tan on the pack as shown in the picture. I was slightly disappointed by this. Also, I bought the Small/Medium and it is big on me. I am about 115 pounds, so if your about my size and don't mind it being big then it is a great pack with lots of awesome features.

"Can't live without it..."  06/14/10

Panel loading makes packing very easy. The built in rain cover is a great value/feature, keeps all my stuff dry. I've used it as a school pack, as well as an overnight and dayhike pack - handles it all well. Very comfortable, and keeps my back cool. The water bladder is accessible from the outside, which is great. Don't know what else to say... If you buy one, you won't regret it.

"Perfect backpack"  04/14/10

This is my weekend pack & it is pretty perfect. I don't have a single complaint about it. Durable & well made. Completely lives up to Osprey's quality standard. The integrated rain cover is sweet. I have used this pack for everything from 2-3 day hiking, to weekend trips to see family. A bigtime multi purpose backpack.

"Great Pack!"  01/15/10

I got the pack about a week ago and it seems spectacular! Very Comfortable, great support and well designed all around. I plan to use it for two night trips, I think the size will work out perfect, a bit small if you plan to bring a lot of gear.
