OSPREY MEASUREMENT GUIDE

Please note that the info provided above refers to the torso size each pack will fit, and NOT any dimensions of the pack. Below are some steps for how to get your torso length. You should probably have someone help take this measurement for you so it is accurate. And they might accidentally touch your butt.

HOW TO MEASURE TORSO LENGTH:
• Start at the iliac crest, which is the top of the hipbones on the side of your body. These act like a shelf for supporting a pack hipbelt.
• From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down.
• Make sure you keep your back as straight as possible while measuring.
• This torso measurement determines what size Osprey pack you should carry. Refer to the size charts above to find your ideal size.
• If you are in between sizes, it is ideal to try them both on before ordering.

HOW TO MEASURE HIPBELT SIZE:
• Measure around your hips at your iliac crest, NOT your waist.
• A properly fitted hipbelt rides centered over the hipbones and needs to be very snug.
• The padded portion should wrap well around your hips, leaving a gap of 3 to 6 inches between the tips of the both hip pads when securely tightened.
• Refer to the Hipbelts size chart above to help determine your ideal Osprey pack size, but again, your torso length is what should determine your pack size, NOT the hipbelt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality hydration pack with strong seams, a bite-valve that doesn't leak, and undeniable sex appeal After consistent (and not gentle) usage, this bladder is holding up much much better than anything Camelbak has ever put on the market. The bite-valve DOES NOT LEAK. If you've used a hydration pack before, you know that almost every different brand will leak at some point. It's just a question of when. If this pack leaks, it takes longer than a year of use crammed in a pack, tossed into a day bag, and accidentally sat on in a car for 7 hours. Using the handle keeps the mouth open during one-person filling. The wide mouth helps with filling from spickets at trailheads. Don't look at other packs. Just buy this one and save yourself some time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Reservoir I have used the reservoir twice now once I was by myself and everything worked out great. Didn't have to worry about the water sloshing around and making my pack feel lopsided at times. The second time i used it I carried the water for me and my fiance. The hose was long enough that I didn't get any of my sweat on her while she was reaching for a drink. That was a big plus on her side. Everything has worked great easy to fill and the water flows nicely through the hose plus I love the fact that it comes with the magnet for my pack. The only negative is its a little snug fit for the talon 11. Just a little bit of work to get it into the sleeve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile and practical I have used this extensively over the past couple of years. The rigid back helps keep the bladder from becoming distorted and bulbous making it a fantastic edition to your pack. I have never had any problems with it leaking. Very easy to clean because of the large mouth opening and the removal of the hose. The bite valve is very unique because it will not drip or leak because you actually have to bite it to open the valve, unlike other bladders on the market that have a tendency to leak while walking. It will take up a great deal of space in your pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product Holds Water and Doesn't Leak Having used bladders from Camelbak and replacement bladders from Walmart, I have long thought that hydration packs are great. I also thought that they are leak prone and basically disposable because after a couple months they were always unusable. This Osprey bladder shattered those misconceptions for me. It doesn't leak and it is durable. ,,1.The rigid back keeps its shape in your pack so it doesn't just become a squishy blob in the bottom of your pack.,,2.The handle makes it easy to fill, even with one hand.,,3.The magnet keeps the bite valve handy secure.,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rocks - large capacity - easy to use I use this in my Gregory Diva 70 backpack. It fits into the hydration sleeve.,,I also have the two liter. On hot days I sometimes ran out of water with the two liter and needed to carry a separate water bottle. The 3 liter is perfect. ,,,,It is easy to fill. You hold the handle and fill it up.,,The handle makes it easy to carry and also easy to put it into your hydration sleeve.,,I have learned to carefully screw the lid on and to turn it upside down to test the seal.,,Once I wasn't paying attention and didn't screw the lid on properly and everything in my lower pack compartment got wet :-(,,,,The bite valve is easy to use. ,,The magnet is strong. I clip it to the chest strap and if my handspring are full I can still duck my head down and get a drink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! The technology for these things just keeps getting better and better over the years. I've used this reservoir extensively this summer and fall. The hose is flexible without being soft, strong without being stiff. (I have yet to put a kink in it like my last one.) The mouthpiece works really nicely, and it has a handy magnet for snapping to a chest strap. It's large capacity and easy to fill and close, with a loop at the top and large handle at the center making it easy to maneuver and secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted!! Bought this to go with my Osprey pack and boy am I glad I did. it's easy to fill. The only issue I have is that the opening is a bit large for my Vario water filter but is an easy work around. It fits in the pack very well and hugs my back just where you want the heavy loads. The magnetic attachment puts the mouth valve in just the right place that makes it easy to grab and take a drink. I've only used it on three hikes but it seems very heavy duty and wouldn't be prone to punctures and leaks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice featured water reservoir. Recommend I like many things about this bladder. It's easy to fill, works perfectly with the poco plus, the magnet that holds the mouth piece is a plus, and it seems well crafted. I do get a little bit of the plastic taste (not as much as with some other bladders) but maybe I just need to clean it really well. Usually happens if the water gets warm but not as noticeable when icy cold. I like the bite valve as well. Seems pretty simple and straight forward. I recommend and use osprey bladders.
