The Osprey HydroForm Reservoir is a hydration system for on-the-go hydration from inside a pack. This reservoir features a rigid back that prevents barrelling and makes it easy to slide into a pack, especially when paired with the handy ergonomic handle. The wide-mouth cap lets water in quickly to fill up in no time. The mouthpiece has a magnet that attaches to the magnet on Osprey pack harnesses and is turned off by twisting to prevent dripping. This water bladder also features an anti-microbial coating to prevent anything funky happening to the water. And by anything funk I mean I can guarantee no sea monkeys will show up in your reservoir. So you can sleep at night now.

"Works as advertised and fits nicely into my Atmos 65 pack. Awkwardly large opening." 05/08/12
Osprey always makes high quality products. This is much more durable than my old nalgene bladder of the equivalent size. However, the real flaw with this product is that the opening is just too large for any standard water pump. This item is great for a day trip, but a poor choice if you are planning to refill with a hand pump from streams while on your hike. I'm sure it works fine if you just want to iodize water overnight.
"Excellent reservoir!" 04/16/12
One of the best things about the reservoir is the magnet that holds the bite valve to the harness, it rarely detaches. The ability to open and close the bite valve is cool, not really necessary though. The spine in the back of the reservoir does a great job of keeping the water from sloshing back and forth, which is great when going around sharp turns on a bike!

"Great Design" 03/19/12
I had always used camelback products but I was getting a new Osprey pack so I decided to get this to go along with it. I'll never look back. The handle for filling is great and the mouth is HUGE! The stiff backing ensures that it remains much more flat when filled compared to a ballooning camelback. I really like the swivel to open mouth piece and the magnet that clips to my chest strap. Never had any problems with this and I would gladly buy another 3L one again. I've even taken this golfing because it fills flatter and is able to fit easier (compared to the camelback) into the larger side pocket on my bag.
"great bladder!" 03/18/12
If you like osprey packs then you will love this. I got a osprey raptor pack with the 2L bladder but gnawed on the tip a little too vigorously. Word to the wise don't chew on the tip like it's gum or else it will leak. Seems obvious but not to me. I'm a moron. The bladder itself held up very well with no leaks inside my pack. I really like the back of the bladder because it is stiff and slides into my pack very well.
"Great Shape Holding Bladder- Hard to Fit in Arcteryx Altra 75" 03/07/12
The handle makes refilling a bit easier. The frame retains the shape very well even after fully loaded with liquid -especially important if you have a pack that allows you to stach this directly to your packs back wall. Very hard to fit in the Arcteryx Altra 75 side insert so I don't recommend this if you have that pack. No problems with leaks after 6 months. The handle and frame give this a slight nod over a camelback.
"Fits well into pack and has a handy magnet" 01/06/12
Got this bladder to fit into my Aether pack. It fits great and 3L is a good amount of fluid to have in there. The magnet that connects holds the bladder to the chest strap is a neat idea and keeps the tube out of the way. The only concern I have is that its tough to keep they baby clean on the inside. I would imagine this is a problem with most hydration bladders. Someone suggest that to clean it denture tablets work well. The bite-value has held up well so far.
"The best reservoir ever" 12/19/11
This is my second Osprey reservoir. I have doubled up with my first one for our 16-20 mile day hikes on the PCT. Having two of these in my day pack work really well together because of the contuored shape. Just gave my old camelback to the goodwill, were it belongs.
"Great Product" 11/30/11
I've always used camelback products, but this is just as good. Easier to unscrew the lid than a camelback, and I like how the end of the hose has a magnet so you can stick it somewhere and it will stay there. However, I wish it had an attachment to completely cover up the mouthpiece. Sometimes it's nice to know it's not dragging on the floor or something whenever you travel to the trailhead from home.
"Perfect for any Osprey pack, but work well with others." 10/19/11
I was a little surprised when i got this by the stiff back panel. Wasnt sure how comfortable it would be, but this design is actually a really good idea. The molded back panel prevents that annoying bulge against your back no matter how full your bladder is. On the front there is a plastic grab handle which makes for super easy out of pack transport. The bite valve has a magnet which has a mount that attaches to your sternum strap for quick and easy access which is totally tits.
"Super sturdy!" 10/16/11
I love this reservoir because it has structure to it. While my friends were dealing with their unwieldy camel back bladders, I was able to fill this up without a problem.I do have two complaints though:1. The mouth is utra-wide and doesn't fit onto any nalgene-compatible water filters out there. This meant I had to fill up a nalgene and dump that water into the bladder. Extrmely annoying. 2. It's a little bulky. No complaints here because, hey, the structure is the best part, but just thought you should know.
