"Not as durable as i'd hoped..." 12/18/11
I've had this pack for about 6 months and only use it for school and simple everyday use. I carry my laptop in it everyday and wish there was more padding for the laptop sleeve. When I set the pack down I am always afraid I will crack my computer since the bottom of the pack isn't padded well. Also, the mesh side pockets aren't durable at all. I only use them for my water bottle and they are all ripped up and tearing. Also, the mesh pocket on the inside can get caught on books and binders, causing it to tear. It's comfortable, but I wouldn't buy it again if given the option.
"Durability is a problem" 09/25/11
If you use this pack daily as a day pack (as I did all summer for my job at a camp) the durability becomes questionable pretty quickly. By the second month of use the front and side meshes had medium sized holes from carrying my water bottle and bike lock. This was not from any sort of super heavy throw your bag down a scree slope and play fetch with it, but from normal wear and tear -not good. By the third month small holes had developed in the bottom and needed to be patched with gorilla tape. I'm not expecting this bag to last till the end of the year and I won't be replacing it. .
