Moosejaw charged me twice and was totally unresponsive when I called. I originally bought the larger farpoint 55 and it was too long for me. I'm a 5'4" female. I spoke to the rep on the phone and she said it would be no problem to exchange it for the smaller size of the exact bag. A few days after getting it, I checked PayPal and saw that they charged me twice, even though it was an exchange. I called, and they said it was a Paypal problem and I would have to contact them. I've submitted a claim, but its been three weeks and I still don't have my money back. Paypal said moosejaw never submitted the refund. If you like paying double, you should definitely order from Moosejaw.
I have the Farpoint 55 as well as a larger Osprey travel packages for 3 week plus trips. These are great bags. The Farpoint with the day pack is perfect for weekend to week long travel. Prefer not to carry on, it is longer and narrower than standard carryon bags. Love the organizational options and straps to compress clothing within the pack.

I bought the Farpoint 55 four months ago and used it while backpacking in Central America as well as on some shorter trips and day trips in Canada and the US. The full pack is fantastic, easy to organize things and with front-loading it makes it really easy to get to whatever you're looking for without pulling everything out of the bag. The day pack is quick and easy to attach / detach and fits all you really need for a day exploring the city or in the jungle. The quality of the bag is superb as expected from Osprey.
I bought the Porter 46 and this and was going to return one, but I'm having trouble deciding. Great features, like the kangaroo carry and less conspicuous zippers. A simple bag so if you're looking for sleeping bag compartments or organizers, look elsewhereIMPORTANT NOTE: Main bag is 3lbs + 1lbs daypack, not 2lbs total.The main bag shape is a little weird. A little longer than carry on and a little thinner. You would think they'd it the max size for a carry on and the small pack could be your personal item. You shouldn't have an issue, but if they throw the book at you, it'll have to be checked.
This pack brings it. No bluff. It enables you to trek through the airport or the Swiss Alps with ease. O.K. maybe the Alps are a stretch but you get the point.It isn't too burdensome (even though it isn't custom fit like more $$ Ospreys) and the detachable pack is unmatchable. It provides enough gidgets/gadgets (tomato/tomatoe) to compete with other daypacks out there. Only ugly thing I will say is that 'peat' which is an awesome rustic energy source, looks like baby poop as a bag. But hey, we've all been there, done that right? So no worries. Strap this pack on and take it for a ride. MOOSEJAW > AWESOMENESS. Just sayin'...
This is very comfortable and has a lot of volume. Just took it on a backpacking trip and it was great for flights, able to carry it on. The 55 liter was plenty big for me to overpack on a two week trip. Its easy to convert and did so many times between walking through town, hopping on trains, planes, and automobiles. I also use it to bike to the store and can easily hold a weeks worth of food. I haven't taken it backcountry, but cant imagine any problems. One downside is the front of the pack zippers wide open and can be a bit trickier to pack than a standard pack. if your not buying it for the sole purpose of backcountry camping and want a solid all around pack, I def. suggest this one.
