I love this pack! I bought it to replace my osprey kestrel. I wanted a pack that was light and durable and that is exactly what I got. I have used it on several 3-4 night hikes and it has be great.
"Wicked light weight pack for the right activities."

I love this pack. It's light, comfy, and well made as are all osprey packs. It excels anywhere you are hiking that is hot, the mess back panel is super comfy AND breaths really really well, way less sweaty back with this pack. Downsides: Only a single ice axe loop; for technical climbing where you have two tools there is no easy safe way to pack them onto the bag. Because it is so light, the fabric isn't as durable as a burlier material would be but then it wouldn't be the lightweight wonder it is. All in all a great pack with the usual mission specific compromises!
This is the most comfortable day pack I have used. The mesh on the back panel allows for good breathing and acts to contour a bit to your back to add some comfort. This bag is light (not as light as a GoLite, my other pack, but much more comfortable). I have never used the bladder system, but I do know that 2 1L Nalgenes fit nicely in the side pockets. I also usually stick my rain shell in the outside back semi-exposed pocket for quick access. Overall, there are not a lot of unnecessary zippers and pockets on this pack, and it works very well. I highly recommend it.
This pack claims to be 34 liters, 36 in the large yet holds more than my 50 liter. The main compartment is cavernous, the suspension is ultra comfortable with loads up to about 30 pounds. With all packs weight distribution is critical, even more so with this pack. The pack is very light weighing in at just over 2 pounds. Ive taken this on a few 8 mile weekenders and it has performed flawlessly every time.
