I bought the Beta Courier to use for business travel. I previously had the Flapjill Courier, which I liked a lot, but I needed a bigger laptop sleeve. The Beta is great at airport security, since the laptop compartment is accessed from the outside. I got the gray color, and I think it's really attractive and will hold up to wear and tear. I also like the zippered organization compartment and the exterior phone pocket--which really is waterproof! But there are some features I like better on the Flapjill Courier. I miss the velcro for the main flap. And the strap on the Beta is flawed. Unlike in the photo, the strap is only adjustable in one location, not two. So if you want to wear the bag like a true messenger--cross-body, on your back--the adjuster needs to end up under the strap pad. That requires some finessing, and then it's not easy to adjust again. Also, because the strap comes straight up from the sides, the bag doesn't lay flat against your side when carried on your shoulder.
