"Can't beat an Osprey"  06/26/11

Bought this to travel through South America and it was worth every dollar. Can't stress enough the superior design and thought that has gone into this pack. It is extremely lightweight and the custom torso fit makes for a comfortable carry. Had no problem with weight shift or sore shoulders. The convertible top pack which can be used as a lumbar pack worked out well on days we were sightseeing. Easy to access sleeping bag section was very much appreciated at the end of the day when knackered. All in all I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend an Osprey pack to everyone.

"The Best of the Best"  05/08/10

I bought this for my husband who says this is extremely comfortable and easy to put on even with a full load. Sits nice and high on the back and with the hip straps adjusted he hardly knew he was carrying a full pack. Very easy the appreciate the value of this pack after carrying one twice as heavy and cumbersome.Hubby particularly liked the amount of room and even then had more to spare. The wide mouth sleeping bag compartment is a real plus. He only wished it was front opening.

"Great fit, great pack."  03/15/10

You can't beat the fit or the comfort of osprey packs. This one looks pretty darn good too! I used the size chart to order for my husband and it fits him perfectly. The bioform hipbet is great too. This will be perfect for our backpacking trip to Europe.

"What else can you say about this awesome pack?"  02/06/10

This pack has been to the mountains and the hills. It is super light weight and best of all it sits perfectly balanced on your back and waste. The bottom holds my 800 fill goose down perfectly. It holds so much stuff that it seems like a bottomless pit of room. Osprey's customer service is pretty awesome too, almost good as Moosejaw's.

"Good Bag"  12/10/09

I have had this bag for about three years and have been very happy with it. Over all it is a very durable bag but there are just small things that kept me from giving it that five moose rating. Cons! Are the constant squeaking while on the trail. The pockets on the bag are just not very well designed for my desired uses. Pros! This bag comes with a moldable hip belt that has been very comfortable while on the trail. I am also a fan of the fanny pack top. The lid comes off to for use as a day fanny pack which is nice but somewhat time consuming to remove and replace. Over all this has been a good pack for me and would recommend it for its quality.

Are the constant squeaking while on the trail this is like a pair of shoes I once had and they just bugs me. The only other real critic I have is on the pockets the pack has. They are just not very well designed for my desired uses. Pros! This bag comes with a moldable hip belt that has been very comfortable while on the trail. I am also a fan of the fanny pouch top. "Great bag but needs some tweaking"  12/10/09

I have had this bag for about three years and have been very happy with it. Over all it is a very durable bag but there are just small things that kept me from giving it that five moose rating. Cons! The constant squeaking while on the trail this is like a pair of shoes I once had and they just bugs me. The only other real critic I have is on the packets the pack has. "Can't be beat."  12/07/09

Made in America! Just upgraded to this pack from a North Face and wow! I'm set for awhile. Very comfortable and spacious. Extremely well thought out pack. I also have a Veer pack to go with it for all my electronics and snacks. Osprey kicks ass!

"Great pack, alot more features than meet the eye."  10/06/09

I picked this pack up at a local MTNeering shop. The reason I got it locally was to have the hip belt heat molded to my person. I just did a 7 day backcountry trip in Glacier, a couple weeks ago and this pack was stellar. I saw 3 other people on my trip with the exact same pack. I was able to fit all of the gear/food/clothes for a Sept trip in the MTNs and still have room for my Pelican 1200 camera case + room for more. The large side pockets have both front and top openings and I was able to fit a Qt nalgene bottle and a klean canteen in 1 pocket, which is awesome! Only downside is that it looks like the pockets abrade easily as mine have some rough spots on them already.

"Lightweight, comfortable, and spacious"  09/22/09

I love this pack. It's a great size for week-long trips and holds all my gear comfortably. The cinching system works well to tighten the load down and keep it close to your body for balance. I found the straps really comfortable and didn't bother with the custom molding - not sure it would make much of a difference. Some have said the side water bottle pockets are too tight, but I actually appreciated the tightness since I never once had a bottle fall out. I'd like it if there was even one extra pocket in the top compartment - as it stands it's just one big section. No a major issue though. Seems VERY durable and the lifetime warranty is much appreciated.

"best pack yet!"  07/27/09

Ive had everything from kelty to gregory to mnt hardwear and this pack tops them all! I did 10 days in Glacier national park this year and it had room for everything and more! it also has great pockets for organization, but not too many that you wonder what some are for and end up wasting precious room! get the hip belt molded for free at your closest Osprey dealer and you are good to go. It makes 45lbs feel like 25lbs!
