Rated 4 out of 5 by from The right cutlery for the weight-conscious backpacker or the aerospace engineer This cutlery is lightweight, yet strong and stiff. While it is heavier than its aluminum alloy alternatives, it is stiffer and stronger. Cutlery sets from other manufacturers might be just as good, but are even more expensive and will hardly surpass the quality of this Optimus offer. Titanium is also more abrasion resistant, which should make it longer-lasting. The clip may be practical to keep the three pieces together, but it is a hassle to put it on and take it off. A simple hair band does the job just as well and is much simpler handle. Optimus should move the holes for the clip some millimeters back to make it easier to use the clip.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are great for saving weight - you can also eat with them too. So I know, why spend big on an expense set of utensils when you can raid your roommates kitchen and steal a set of their silver-ware? Why not save a set of Mickey D's plastic-ware and use those?,,,,We buy these because it makes others jealous. We are civilized and want to have the comforts of a real fork, not a spork. We don't like chasing food around the bowl with a spork after a long day of hiking, only to let your meal go cold before you can finish it. You are already tired, do yourself a favor. Plus, they are polished! Only mark-down is due to price, but Love It! if price wasn't a consideration. Do yourself a favor, buy them, you will use them for the rest of your backpacking days.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you want to save space and weight, this will make do. But it looks and feels like little chil If you want to save space and weight, this will make do. But it looks and feels like a children's toy set of utensils. The fork bends so much with minimal force applied that it would be difficult to mash a potato without bending the fork. The knife is almost as fragile. The spoon is a little better but also small and very thin. Someone should have tried the bend and pressure test on the fork and knife and added a few millimeter of thickness to each of these. It would be ridiculous to call these heavy duty. Better for a picnic basket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These save space and weight, but are not sturdy campware. Way too thin and too small. This small cutlery set looks like childrens party playware. It would be ok for a picnic, though the fork tines are too small. But it is not sturdy campware. The fork and knife are bendable and feel like they will twist when pressure enough to mash a potato is applied. The manufacturers should have added a few millimeters to both of the fork and knife to make them camping worthy. They are very light, but mostly because they are too thin and small. Maybe there is worse titanium cutlery. But I am unaware of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light and pretty, but a also a wee-bit flimsy. These utensils are plenty light and beautifully designed but they also feel a bit on the fragile side; i.e. don't stare too long at them or they might bend. I haven't yet worked on anything tough... like moose meat for example, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll have to stick to beans, ramen noodles and other softcore foodstuffs. For most of the camping that I've done, this should be plenty sufficient.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ehhh, i guess? I guess if your cooking real food in the back country your livin' it up. I'd rather just take my long spoon and some dehydrated food in pouches, they mostly taste great and are easy to make. Anyway, I'll keep these around for the random times I car camp with friends just to impress them with my Ti cutlery set. They are shiny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cutlery Set, Get's the job done Lightweight & strong cutlery set, what more can you ask for. The biner on these sucks though, replaced with one of those nifty sbiners instead. I’ve considered buying enough of these to make a full set for dinner at home, but thought people might find it weird, would also be kind of expensive for everyday use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought as a gift I personally haven't used them, but I'm jealous of the friend I bought them for. She's constantly on the go, via bicycle, and was wanting something like these. She seems quite happy. If there are any more in stock at my local shop, I'll get a set for myself.
