this stove will out last the apocolypse.I inherited my svea about 10 years ago from my dad who had bought it in the 70s, and its still goin strong. you can use almost anything in it except gasoline. Ive even used some 100 proof vodka before, (wasn't too efficient, but it got the job done, everclear would have prolly worked better.) its super convenient with the built in wind screen, and the multi purpose key attached to it. theres no fuel pump, it pressurizes itself which is pretty nice, but kinda wastes a lil fuel every time you light it. Its only other downfall is its size; if your cooking for more than two ppl then go with a different stove.

Self-wicking white gas stove, the best kindI have friend's who carry the butane stoves and extra canisters, and others who fiddle with the pump stoves making a mess. This compact stove is the perfect median. It's light and all inclusive, pick-up an extra fuel bottle for multi-day trips if necessary or go without for solo trips. I had to adjust the stove after receiving it, but Optimus was very helpful with that. Fires right up for me, even in high winds, the hardest part is getting the matches lit. In 35mph winds it boiled water quickly with only my pack shielding it. Most importantly for me, it fits inside my Snow Peak Mini Solo cook set. Since it is larger than most stoves, having it fit into another piece of your gear is great.

BUY THIS STOVE. IT WILL BE WITH YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR DAYS AND MAYBE SOME OF YOUR KIDS TOO!Got one of these at a garage sale about 5-6 years ago for $5 bucks, still in the original package. Now it stays in my truck perminently in my B.O.B bag with AK 74 and 10 clips and a few other survival items i have come to rely on. This stove has yet to let me down. Even at altitude it fires right up and makes my vittles warm. Gotta love it. Its bomb proof too.If you buy this and have kids, they will be fighting over it after you are dead. Great product. A must buy.

Toughest Stove out thereI've used this stove on several backwoods trips and this stove has never failed me yet. It may be heavier than others but the self contained tank is better, (in my opinion), than carrying around canisters. Nested in a Optimus Terra Weekend HE, this stove is my go to stove. I bring it even when car camping just in case we're rained out and can't cook over the fire. Yes it is pricey but it will last a lifetime.
