Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely a great light weight stove for the price This is the lightest and most compact stove on the market as far as I know. I have had mine for 3 years and it's very dependable. As someone pointed out the small arms that hold your pot do become a little tougher to fold up after the stove has been used, but not enough to be an issue for me. It works well in light wind, but probably not good for strong wind. You do have to continuously turn up the heat as pressure is released from the fuel can (as you do with any stove that relies on the pressure in the fuel can for propulsion) but this is a very minor inconvenience compared to using a stove with a pump. Great stove

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best thing ever The only way I think you are going to get a smaller/ hotter burner is to get on you tube and look up the bud light alcohol burner but if you want that you are going to have to have some welding skills, it doesn't look as cool and the babes are way more into this one. Cause lets face it you take a girl camping she wants her man to fix her something good, but if you break your back all day carrying a heavy grill your to tired to get your good cooking. Solution... By this grill it looks cool and improves your love life all at an affordable cost..... how you gone beat that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Owns the pocket rocket, HANDS DOWN. Bought this as my first stove after using my buddys msr pocket rocket for my first year of backpacking, and this stove owns the pocket rocket. The flame is actually adjustable and is not just a single jet rocket flame. It's lighter and more compact as well. Bought this and then did half the AT and used this for coffee, lunch, and dinner everyday, still works fine. I recommend keeping up on the cleaning, as the folding mechanisms on the arms will become a little tougher to flip out after massive amounts of abuse and use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better First of all after you use it , it's hard to close the black arms back down, because they get so dry and stop moving flexibly. They also become squeaky and you have to force them into their place.,,Another thing is that flame keeps reducing itself - by itself. If I set the flame to medium high, slowly... in one minute ..the flame will go down on it's own to super small flame. Then I have to crank up the flame again and then ....again after some time, flame goes down to smaller flame than you set it. It's really annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I recommend it I scoured the internet reading reviews and tests on stoves and bought both the MSR Pocket Rocket and the Optimus Crux Lite. I returned the Pocket Rocket after finding the Crux to be a little more usable. I found that it provided a more level surface for the pot than the sharply angled arms of the Pocket Rocket. It boiled two cups of water in only a couple minutes and packs away beautifully into the cup. The flame adjustment is decent and when on full it is like a jet engine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very effective if a little touchy My first stove and I love it, supports are very stable and cooks hot and quickly. If your fuel canister is full, there are pretty much only 2 settings superhigh and off. It gets a little easier to control as you burn off fuel. Keep an eye on the burner if you're trying to simmer when its windy as there is no wind screen and it has a tendency to blow out. Super convenient though, quite small so you don't have to plan on packing space, expect for the fuel cans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light. Simple. Works. Backpacking stoves are pretty much for boiling water when it comes down to it. This stove gets that task done just fine. I've had it running from sea level up to 9000ft and never had a problem. As far as I know this is the lightest stove on the market and that's why I bought it. (I like to roll light so I can be nimble in case I'm attacked by Mountain Lion or a Unicorn.) ,,,,Anyway, if ultra-light is your thing, this is your stove.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact, Light, POWERFUL! I bought this as a personal stove to bumble around in the woods with, I'm pleased to say this little ma'ama jamma cranks out the HEAT! It's quick, simple, and rewarding. The flames will die and you will have to adjust, and yes, the adjustments are very fiddlesome fragile at times, but believe, you'll be boiling in no time. I've even used it during a power outage in my home to heat soup!
