Rated 5 out of 5 by from Government darlings By "casual, recreational adventurer", I mean I wore these to Afghanistan and back, in 5 provinces and 7 different sites. Helpful for all manner of improvisation, these carabiners go above and beyond by being reaaaaally tough (seriously, Burt Reynolds tough) and handy for more than just military rope work. ,,,,Stateside, they're great around a campsite, handy in caves and rough terrain and basically suffice for anything that you don't need an actual locking carabiner for. Omega did the deed with these, and you can buy with confidence. They're legit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Country approved Recently took on a 2 day excursion & loved it. I'm 300lbs 6'4 handsome & athleticy build of course and this suspended myself & 47lbs of gear with ease. Quality construction and is very universal in small/moderate size for what it puts out. A must have for anyone's rig. I'd trust this to hold 17 of my unborn children plus few hundred lbs of gear over a piranha, shark, alligator, water moccasin, box jellyfish infested tank. Bottom line Big Country approved.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and light enought I bought these because I know Omega Pacific leans more towards the heavy but durable side of the climbing industry. I put these on the rope end of two long quickdraws and find that it allows for a rapid and durable setup for top-rope climbing. A lot of times biners wear through, but these can take days of top-roping with no sings of wear. The only con is bulk and weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very light weight!!! I love this thing, I'm thinking about getting 20 of them and making some sort of something out of it. Also, I want to run over it with a car or something, I'm sure it'll take it just fine. Looks to be pretty sturdy. Hope this helped you....I just felt froggy and wanted to share my froggieness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple sublte perfect Great carabiner for any use, hammocks, slack lines, keys, and for those long hours working at the rock wall setting routes on the 45 invert wall when you need a third hand to hold you in this is perfect combined with a runner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough and stuff Very tough biner, and not flashy like most. I originally got one to hook onto my flak jacket and clip my kevlar to it while in Fallujah. Now though, I use it for my climbing activities and its a champ. Good buy.
