"Great addition to the family!" 12/20/10
Great little carabiner with a awesome autolock. I have the bigger brother and was looking for something a little lighter and a tad smaller. This was perfect. There were no shortcuts and the the autolock functions very smoothly. The opening has plenty of space for rope/webbing that you may need to hook in. The picture shows a silverish color, but it's more a gold when it arrived. Not a biggie...it works!
"Awesome!!!" 12/12/10
Great carabiner, a bit smaller than it's bigger brother. The twist lock is way better than screwgates. The auto-lock hasn't malfunctioned or stuck on me yet. I don't see it failing anytime soon. It makes it much easier when wearing gloves or when fingers are fatigued. The knurling on the auto-lock isn't too rough like some of the Petzl carabiners so they're not too abrasive. I bought a couple and probably will buy a couple more.
"I wish I could climb on walls made out of these." 02/25/10
These things are rock solid, super beefy, and make decent impromptu ninja weapons when paired with a sling. The only drawback is that they're a little awkward to use for cleaning a sport route, other than that...awesome
"I would totally buy my Mom this biner!" 12/13/09
This thing rocks! Period. Solid construction, light weight, and auto-locking. The only thing I could possibly complain about is that it is kind of large even though it's the Jr. so I have to fiddle with it a little to get it through my grigri. Not a deal breaker but definitely worth noting.
"Best Biner ever!!!" 03/27/09
I use these for everything. Even had one as my keychain biner for a while. was hard to get in and out of my pocket though. I climb every other weekend in the warmer months and these are the only biners i use. These things ROCK!!
"great for advanced climbing needs" 10/04/07
this carabiner has a gate that opens to the side and allows more than one rope to be threaded through at a time. this is the case when tying in short while aid climbing, self belaying, or cleaning a route on rappel.
"as they say in the commercials - PRICELESS" 07/17/07
Hey I just got my order and have already used the two carabiners I did not damage to carabine my 4 wheel drive from the top of the capitol to the statue of Huey Long. The plan went well until I hit the statue and it toppled. By the way you might be wondering to the third carabiner in my order. Well I read the tape on the box which said NO KNIFE - Use Teeth. Well when I was opening the package with my choppers i accidently bit through one of my carabiners!!!!!! The only thing I could not figure out is where to attach the carabiner if you are nude carabining!!!! Just kidding. All of the items are great and better than I expected. Enjoy the madness.
