Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful Carabiner I use this carabiner to secure my dry bag to the inside of my canoe and to hang random pieces of equipment from my pack (Nalgenes, rope, rain gear, etc.). I like its size, durability, and price. I haven't used it much for climb, just once as an impromtu belay device to see if I could. There are fancier carabiners out there, but this is the carabiner of choice for emergency workers for a reason.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great general use carabiner this is a great carabeaner overall. First, it is about 6.375 times stronger than you will ever need, second, when its locked it is not going anywhere, third, its a bit heavy to have a gear loop full of them, but great for building anchors, Last I have seen pictures of guys in Iraq/afganistan that have used them for everything. Only draw back, dont expect them to stay shinny for very long

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong, easy-to-use This works well for me in setting anchors and my prusik system for rappels. I don't use it much for belay devices due the the D shape. Pears are better for that. But if you need something stronger than 30-kn, this is a solid biner for a modest price. I got three and I'm very happy with them. The screw lock is smooth and hasn't gotten sticky or jammed yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomb proof These things are rugged. This biner will take years of abuse. Smooth gate, great lock & so strong, an anvil could take a fall on this carabiner. I love them for building anchors of any kind, especially on the bolt ends. I keep a stockpile with me when i go out. Recommend to anyone who wants an affordable carabiner that will last them a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great biner, classic design but a little small for my tastes. This is a classic biner and one of the strongest so you know you can trust it. The only problem I have with it is that is a little small. Perfect for setting up anchors but a little small so you might not want to use it as a belay biner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Afordable, basic, good crab for a novice. Sure it's a bit square but it has a nice fit in the palm and has a smooth one handed operation, I picked up a couple to set up my own rack and they really come in handy for setting up anchor points

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product Some carabiners lock up or start to stick after a while and after some harsh punishment, but this one lasts. The screw lock hasn't jammed on me yet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great if you need 'biners that meet the NFPA-L ratings of a minimun of 27kN I need to have locking biners that meet or exceed the NFPA-L rating of 27kN for SAR and these are a great inexpensive choice and are rated at 31kN
