Whether you walk or run, this is a sure footed shoe it surprised me. It might surprise you too!New balance has finally gotten trail running shoes right. The grip on the tread is amazing, it handles wet mossy bike trail on asphalt surface and loose rock as well, this is not to say you should run up river beds. I have a over pronounced feet so I wear orthopedic inserts, that being said the rev lite sole is really good cushioning far better than the cushioning on the 510v2. If you match it with good socks it fits even better. The shoes tongue seems to be a good fit molded for the top of the foot so it stays put when your on the move. The shoes are light weight nice. I really like the color, the frozen ice pattern was a surprising choice. In the end it really is about what you want, the shoes to match your favorite exercise. If new balance keeps up on this design with "shoe evolution" in mind meaning keeping what works and new improvements I might not want to leave New balance again.
