Unbelievably Great!I fell in love with sleeping bags all over again with this bag....I loved it so much I used it on my own bed at home for a while. For these of us who are claustrophobic in a mummy bag, this is the bomb.
Pocket for sleeping pad - no more rolling or sliding off it.
Zippers galore - allows you to get just the right temps
Hood/pocket for pillow -no more losing my pillows all night; keeps head warm
Water resistant and stretch footbox - amazing
I wish it had an optional companion liner for colder temps. That being said, have slept in 20 degree weather quite comfortably.

Awesome Bags and Roomy!Last spring, we went against the grain and purchased the down bags for the West Coast Trail and not the synthetic model. We purchased them along with the 3P Dagger. For the "wet coast" synthetic is usually standard. The coast can get cold at night camping on the beaches in the fog, and the heavy rains can be a problem; but the bags were perfect, warm and cozy, very roomy and did not collect or retain any moisture. We stored the bags in compression sacks, and air dried in the mornings when the sun was out to remove any moisture from body heat. We also liked how they are compact, light and zipped together.

This bag rocksI bought this bag for colder weather excursions outside of Texas, however we've had some cold (for us) weather this winter and I've had ample opportunity to test this bad boy in 30-40F conditions. When paired with a Cosmo air pillow top pad I tested this in a hammock and directly on the ground with no tent, in both conditions I stayed toasty through the night with minimal sleep wear (skivvies and a sleep shirt). I'm glad I made this purchase and will be back to Nemo for a tent in the near future. Great product, well thought out and I love the quilt layer at the top that you can nestle into. I found it extremely comfortable for my build (5'9" 210lbs) because it hugs you without the confinement of a mummy bag, in fact, never again will I sleep in a mummy bag. It might not be the lightest bag in its class but the comfort more than makes up for the weight in my book.

Oh so comfy.Like many reviewers, I'm a side sleeper and get tangled up turning in the night in mummy bags. This was an expensive experiment, but my first trip using it I was very comfortable. I was a bit worried when I first got in because it was so huge inside. I figured it would be too drafty, but it kind of settles around your body nicely and kept me plenty warm sleeping under the stars around 35F. My REI Cirrus 25" pad fits perfectly, although it is a bit of fun getting it inside when inflated. Wish it was lighter for backpacking, but it is still worth it for me for the comfort, at least for the shorter hikes I tend to take.

Great bags! Love themWe have been working our way back into tent camping. We both ride a motorcycle so room is a premium with our losi tent ( we been using a 2 person bought a 3 person and haven't had a chance to use it yet) I really like the way the pad goes into the back of the bag so it's not moving around not moving around a lot.

Second to None for Sleep QualityI got this bag about a year ago but have only been able to use it once unfortunately. However, the one time I did use it, the bag could not have been better. I slept in this bag under the stars, no tent. The temperature dropped down to the low 30's and I was toasty warm in my bag. In the morning, the outside of my bag was completely covered in dew, but none of it penetrated into my bag, nor did it make the bag any less warm. I used the cosmo pad with the pillowtop cover...this was absolutely heavenly. With the pillowtop cover, this was more comfortable than many hotel beds I have stayed on.
I got this bag in particular because I can not sleep in a mummy bag. I feel like my feet are tied up. This bag is very roomy and is easy to move around in.
As with the head baffle, I slept with my head under the baffle and the blanket fold tucked in. This was very warm and I felt like I had plenty of room to breath.
Overall, I would recommend this bag for those who go backpacking a little as well as car camp. If I used this for strictly backpacking, I might look for something lighter, but since I only have to carry this once or twice a year(the rest is car camping) it is perfect for me. If you done mind the little extra weight and bulk, this is definitely the way to go if you want to get the best and most comfortable sleep you can while camping.

Next best thing to your own bed! When you couple this with their 25" pad, magic occurs! Warm sleep system and about the same weight as a long mummy bag and pad. I'll be carrying this on the
AT this summer.

Almost Perfect…This is definitely now my favorite sleeping bag, compared to all the sleeping bags I have ever owned this bag perfectly suits how I sleep. I like to be able to roll around and often sleep on my side or stomach, this allows me to sleep however I want and still warm and comfy. I have used the bag in temperatures down to 20 degrees and have been very comfortable, of course I am a warm sleeper and I was well insulated from the ground (Cosmo Air SP and ½ Memory foam topper). The bag is very lofty and does well to retain body heat, I have had to open the zipper a couple of times to cool the bag down. This is a fairly bulky bag, but I have no problem using it while backpacking or kayaking, I think the comfortable sleep is worth the extra weight and bulk.
What I like about this bag:
- It is roomy and comfortable to sleep in, feels almost like sleeping under a quilt at home
- I like that this bag has a sleeping bag sleeve instead of insulation at the bottom. It makes absolute sense to not have down insulation on the underside of a sleeping bag, any insulation value is lost when compressed by your body weight. And having your sleeping pad secured in the sleeve means you never roll off, further it adds to that sense that you are sleeping at home.
- I like that it has zippers on either side, this significantly enhances the utility of the bag. You can sit up in the bag, you can get out/in on either side, you can zip/attach other bags to it for couples, it is easier to vent, and it feels a lot less confining. I also have not noticed any cold drafts from the zippers.
- I prefer the slightly tapered rectangular shape to the tradition mummy style which I find very confining and often uncomfortable to sleep in.
- The water-resistant downtek is a fantastic feature, it means that the bag can handle a reasonable amount of moisture without losing any loft and therefore warmth, this is important when it comes to down bags.
What I think would improve this bag:
- I think a slightly smaller version of this bag would be ideal, at least for me. I think a version designed for a 20 inch wide sleeping pad that is the regular 72 inches long would be both warmer and less bulky (this bag fits a 25 inch pad and is 78 inches long). In general a regular sized version would have been ideal, this bag is a bulkier than most.
In summary, I love this bag. It has made for very comfortable sleeping. I would highly recommend it to anyone who moves in their sleep and especially stomach/side-sleepers. I only wish there was a slightly smaller version (20 by 72 inches). The bag does compress very well, most down bags compress very well.
