The Best Single Wall Tent for Two PeopleI used the meta, (the original meta) on the Pacific Crest Trail for a summer with my wife on a thru-hike. While all of the other sub 3 pound tents were torn to shreds in the high winds our Nemo was bombproof. It's still in great shape. It withstood winds, and rain. On a few nights the condensation was bad. That's just something that's gonna happen in single wall. We now have the Hornet 2p also, because we prefer freestanding and double wall due to condensation but I still plan on using the meta a LOT, because it's the best single wall out there. Highly recommended if you are getting a single wall.

Great lightweight tentTook this to Peru for a mountain / jungle trek. Set up is fast and tent is compact, we did have a lot of condensation on some nights. Found out If you leave the vestibule open it vents much better, but a little colder at night so just bundle up. Better a little cool than packing a wet tent. Some tradeoffs with a single wall lightweight tent. Overall glad I purchased it and will continue to use, no poles to break especially when flying. The double vestibule is great and roomy. Double doors nice to have also, no crawling over the other to get out. foot print purchased came with strings to short to reach the stakes of the tent. Other than that still happy with nemo

Light weight, easy set-up, no condensationWeight is spot on. Vestibules have plenty of room. I miss some of the hidden design details, that Nemo usually includes, but this is meant to be a minimalist tent for the gram counters and with that mission, this tent succeeds.
With no peak vents, I was very skeptical of the ventilation claims. Three things: 1. The vestibules are so high off the ground that they allow an incredible amount of air flow. 2. If you're facing out (toward the door) when you sleep, you're literally sending all the moisture from your breath right outside the tent. 3. The vestibules have a two-way zipper (with velco to keep everything from flapping around) which acts as a big vent with weather protection.
As you can see from the picture below, I had perfect location to test the airflow / lack of condensation claims: Low 40's, high humidity, in a valley, next to a stream. I still don't believe it, but there was no condensation on the walls of the tent in the morning.
1. Tent comes in a large stuff sack, but it can be compressed further to half the listed size. It's actually quite compact.
2. The guy-outs at each corner mean the tent requires a deceptively large footprint for pitching and as with all non-freestanding tents, getting a perfect pitch isn't easy; but the tent is stable nonetheless.

Ok fair weather tentNot bad to set up. Stakes are only ok. Very tight for two people, roomy for one. It would be nice to have tie offs for more guy lines. Needs to be more sturdy. It will def serve the purpose I bought it for. Weekenders not expecting bad weather.
