Award Winner - Backpacker Magazine Editors' Choice Award 2010

The Nemo Meta 2 Tent literally weighs in at less than three pounds, and remains one of the best designed trekking pole tents on the market. The Nemo Meta 2 features multiple venting options and vestibule configurations to keep the rain out and the air circulating, and well-placed anchor points to make setup quick and easy, and eliminate pole slippage and tensioning issues that plague other trekking pole tents. The tent and dual vestibules combine to offer a total of 58 square feet of rain-protected comfort and storage, and watertight stuff sack, tent stakes, and repair kit are all included.

DECENT FEATURES of the Nemo Meta 2 Person Tent

  • Oversized grommets locate the tips of trekking poles and reinforced areas at the top of the tent receive the pole handles
  • Reinforced hoops keep the upper vents open at all times, allowing low-to-high ventilation
  • Dual vestibules/entries on Meta 2P eliminate jostling for position and gear storage
  • Meta 1P's large rear vent, overhead vent, and mesh front inner wall provide excellent airflow

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber Tent. Light compact and easy set-up I've used this tent on three trips now and it has performed great. On all three trips it has rained (on one night there was a severe storm with 40+ mile winds) and had the amount of condensation you would expect from this type of tent. The materials are high quality. If you're over 6ft i would try this tent out first - It is plenty long, but with it being an A-frame shape you may not have as much headroom as you want. I use it for solo and 2 person hiking - It is roomy for two and a place for one (I could easily fit three without gear if I needed to). It takes a little time to get used to setting it up, but once you get the hang of it is very simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultralight Category Killer - Awesome Tent I had this out on four trips (11 nights) last summer and this my favorite two person tent. I am a gram-counting ultralight backpacker and this is a great ultralight tent with all the features of its heavier counterparts. Dual entry doors, dual vestibules and plenty of interior room make this a true 2-person tent. The weight is perfect for two people at just over 1.5 pounds per person with footprint, stuff sack and stakes. One word of advice: the higher you anchor the guy lines, the more headroom and footroom you will have, so I try to guy out to a tree where I can rather than to the stakes. I love this tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what you expected when you researched and bought this There is nothing about this tent that doesn't match up what you find on line, on YouTube videos, and in reviews. When you open the box and that stuff sack rolls out, and you say to yourself, "that is a kick ass stuff sack", you can't help but wonder what's in the actual sack.,,,,Tent takes 10 minutes (if) to setup. Put poles in. Extend. Done. You know you have something hard core engineered when you go to open the zipper on the mesh door and it just opens hard spots along the length...just smooth opening. Bottom line, this thing is built like a brick (blank) house, and weighs 3 pounds. Game on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product! I haven't had much time with this tent but i set it up just in time for a pretty bad storm. It rained for 8-12 hours straight as well as 40mph gusts of wind. I don't use trekking poles so i bought a Ortovox aluminum light probe and cut the string. To my amazement the probe worked perfectly as 2 poles!,,,,Great construction, Fully taped seams and repels water amazingly! The tent was just as sturdy as any 4 season tent I have been in (which shocked me because of how light weight). Overall I would trust this tent to do 4 season tasks even though it would be a little chilly.,,,,Definitely buy with confidence!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rock solid, lightweight, compact, and plenty of room I had my meta 2P out last weekend. It is the most sturdy tent I've owned, as well as the easiest and quickest to set up and take down.,,,,As a single wall tent, it does require a lot of ventilation. There was not way in avoiding condensation my first night out, with 26F temp overnight and 100% humidity. This caused a little discomfort in the morning when i woke up, and brushed my head on the wall, causing a waterfall on my head and on my sleeping bag.,,,,Overall, it is still my favorite tent along with the MSR Hubba Hubba.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This thing has been amazing 90% of the time. I bring this tent along when I go backpacking with my wife, since she does not like sleeping in a bivy sac. If the ground is too hard to get stakes set well and you can't find large boulders to anchor the tent you are going to have issues. I made the mistake of trying to camp on Whitney in this, well the ground is solid so we spent a while tying some parachord I had to large rocks trying to anchor this thing down. However, it's an amazing and comfortable tent, and super light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Bad A** Tent When this tent came via UPS I was eager to get into the forest and test it out. Well I received what I had asked for and more. The moment we set up camp it started to rain cats and dogs and didn't let up for four hours, and this tent took it and asked for more. nice and huge great for two big men or three girly men

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't be disappointed This tent is awesome. It is extremely roomy. I am 5'9 and I cannot reach the ends of the tent. I slept out in the snow with it and I did not even experience condensation!! Setup is easy. The only drawback is that if you don't use trekking poles. The quality of the tent is topnotch.
