Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally leakproof, durable, shatter resistant... I have the 16 oz version of this jar and it's pretty awesome. Honestly, it gets the most use as a container for lunches...but hey, I bike to work and yeah sometimes I wreck...this container doesn't leak, even when it's upside down in a backpack skidding across the ice/pavement/dirt/whatever! When I take it on trips in the backcountry, I especially like that when you are finished eating, you can put the lid back on and not worry about juices dripping into your backpack (who wants to get eaten by a ravenous grizzly bear?) Highly recommend this as a lunch bowel, backpacking bowl, or leftovers in the fridge bowl. Of course it's microwave and dishwasher safe too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every Penny... Indoors and Out I started using these a couple years ago for taking food camping and backpacking, as well as the smaller jars for a 'food repair kit'. They never seem to break, or leak, and are generally bombproof. I recently outfitted all my spices at home with the smaller jars... as well as keeping larger ones full of butter, peanut butter, jelly, and anything else that can be kept in a jar. They can be microwaved, sent through a dishwasher, dropped... thrown, yet they never give up. If you are hard on equipment and/or don't care about a little extra weight in exchange for security, treat yourself to these. The price is right, and they'll last a lifetime and then some.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid looking jar. I generally take a jar of peanut butter with me when I go backpacking . . . what's better than some pancakes in the morning smothered in peanut butter and honey!?! Not much when you're on the trail . . . well perhaps some fresh picked wild blueberry pancakes if you're headed to Shining Rock . . . because wild blueberry pancakes grow there . . . Anyways, I was tired of schlepping around a big jar of peanut butter for shorter weekend trips. I picked up the 4oz jar and it looks like it's gonna do a great job of holding all the peanut butter my pancakes can handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not just for camping! Although I DO love to camp, I initially bought these jars (a few of each size, actually) when I needed something for storing looseleaf tea. Because they are solidly stackable, airtight, and durable; they shield the contents from light damage; and the plastic neither leaves an odor nor picks one up, they were a perfect solution, and now I also use them for other kitchen storage such as baking supplies and snacks. Also, the colors are great, but you new that already!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from see what you're eating! these jars rule! i use them for everything. sunblock. snacks, avocados! i use them often while backpacking and they have yet to crack. they are a bit bulky at times, but for car camping or indoor use they are perfect. and since they are clear you know what is in them. unless you use them for left overs. yup. a good fill, that's for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomber Ive used Nalgene bottles and jars for years, they are hands down the best product on ther market. Recentley i introduced a whole new set of backpackers to the wonders of these jars. They make excellent food storage, but they make even better bowls. Everyone should use a bowl with a lid so they can enjoy breakfast on the go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bomber food container Leak proof container that doesn't leave you wondering if its contents will end up leaking inside your bag. I own several sets of these and they work great for keeping my food safe from spilling out. It's better than regular tupperware because the cover screws on tight. I also like the fact that these are BPA free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does the trick! OK. Here's the deal. The jars work very well for all your needs. I made one mistake. I used Goof Off to remove the sticker glue and totally ruined the jar. Have to remove the glue the old fashioned way, hot soapy water and time. Hope that tip saves you a few bucks!! Go enjoy the outdoors!
