"Great little addition..a bit pricey" 01/16/11
So I have these on my Mountainsmith Day Lumbar pack. They are great for the trail! Or even if you are just using it as a everyday bag (which I do during the week) The only issue is they are a little pricey. If you get them and a bag you are looking at about $100 unless you get a great deal on the bag. In the end I would say it's very worth it. If I lost the bag and stap system though it would be a pain money wise to replace.
"Great item but..." 12/18/10
Mountainsmith Strapettes are must have if you want to carry the lumber pack with ease for a long period of time. As many of you guy/gals already know, The day pack has an awkward shoulder strap that are way too closely attached next to each other. the only negative remark that I have is the price. the lumber day pack is around $70-80, and if you add the strapittes, it would run you close to $100 for the system. I truly love my pack and it really lasts... However, I hope I don't have to ever replace it =)

"Just like Frosted Flakes...They're GRRRREAT!!!" 12/04/10
I got these to go on the Tour lumbar pack and can't find one thing to complain about! They have just the right amount of padding, a sternum strap if you need it, and they attach in about 15 seconds.
"Mountain Smith and the Strapettes." 11/12/09
Autumnal multi-country tour round Euroland with the trouble and strife and the young 'un. Without the Strapettes my trip would've been awful. And .. you know it: it's much better for your back to be balanced with 2 straps than just the one.
"Everyone should have some!" 01/31/08
I would recommend mountainsmith strapettes to anyone that has a mountainsmith bag that can use them. I absolutely love them!
"If you need them, get them!" 01/14/08
I have an older 2001 Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Classic Pack, the new shoulder Strapettes attaches just fine. Which is a good thing. The Classic Pack is amazing I use it for skiing, around town with the signal shoulder strap, and for day adventures and beach cleanups. I procrastinated on getting the additional strapettes because mountiansmith.com had bad photographs representing this specific product and how they attach and work. I called Mountainsmith and they said they should attach to my old model pack but they were not sure – well they do. So I am happy, it would have come in handy for the pretty heavy lodes you can carry with the Tour Pack. The Tour Pack gives great lumbar support for sk
"Excellent and useful" 07/04/07
Recently went to the Big Island of Hawaii and these Strapettes worked great. Much more comfortable to use in hot sticky weather than a conventional backpack. I highly recommend these straps. Thanks Moosejaw!
