Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you need them, get them! I have an older 2001 Mountainsmith Tour Lumbar Classic Pack, the new shoulder Strapettes attaches just fine. Which is a good thing. The Classic Pack is amazing I use it for skiing, around town with the signal shoulder strap, and for day adventures and beach cleanups. I procrastinated on getting the additional strapettes because had bad photographs representing this specific product and how they attach and work. I called Mountainsmith and they said they should attach to my old model pack but they were not sure – well they do. So I am happy, it would have come in handy for the pretty heavy lodes you can carry with the Tour Pack. The Tour Pack gives great lumbar support for sk

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great item but... Mountainsmith Strapettes are must have if you want to carry the lumber pack with ease for a long period of time. As many of you guy/gals already know, The day pack has an awkward shoulder strap that are way too closely attached next to each other. the only negative remark that I have is the price. the lumber day pack is around $70-80, and if you add the strapittes, it would run you close to $100 for the system. I truly love my pack and it really lasts... However, I hope I don't have to ever replace it =)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little addition..a bit pricey So I have these on my Mountainsmith Day Lumbar pack. They are great for the trail! Or even if you are just using it as a everyday bag (which I do during the week) The only issue is they are a little pricey. If you get them and a bag you are looking at about $100 unless you get a great deal on the bag. In the end I would say it's very worth it. If I lost the bag and stap system though it would be a pain money wise to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These straps are a "MUST HAVE" for any Mountainsmith lumbar bag. The Mountainsmith Strapettes worked extremely well on the Tour as well as the Day pack. the multiple adjustment points let me customize the straps for a relaxed and comfortable fit. I tested the straps on both packs while day hiking at the Grandc Canyon North Rim and at Zion last week. Adds versatility to both packs when carring heavier loads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTABULOUS!!!!!!! These straps are the best thing since sliced bread and peanut butter! I hooked them to my Cairn ll lumbar pack and it's like Heaven. This pack is just big enough to cram about 15#'s in and without the Strapettes(who named these things?!) it was brutal. Now it's perfect. Shipping was lightening fast too by the way. Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality and does the trick for the Mountainsmith hip packs. Mountainsmith is about quality. These "strapettes" (how I feel funny saying that out loud!) do not disappoint.

Granted, I have now given up all semblance of True Manhood. To my wife's amusement, her 6'-3" husband has a standard poodle, drives a cabrio, and hikes with a fanny pack... now with strapettes. Sheesh.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple irrestistable! Works great with both my Mountainsmith Office (good bag wish it wasn't discontinued!) and my Tour lumbar pack. Straps help to take the load off your waist! A little confusing to use at first but once over the learning curve, you'll find these straps with your pack everytime you're out and about!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good product, would buy again unless something better comes along. Quality product, well constructed. Bought them with the Cairn II lumbar pack. Works well but the front ends of the strap attach to the bottom of the pack as opposed to the front of the belt which causes the straps to pull a bit more on your shoulders than I would like.
