"Total garbage - don't waste your money" 09/02/11
I bought two of these for organizing junk in the back of my truck and wife's vehicle. There are two main problems:1) the system is totally unsupported/unstructured - unless you are packing the cubes full and have all cubes in the large bag it simply collapses on itself. (I made hard plastic bases out of sheet ABS from Lowes - cut to size and wrapped duct tape around the edges.)2) There is a vinyl lining inside the cubes...after about 2 months in the car this started to crack and peel off. I should have returned these when the first one started...i figured it was a defect for 1. I've thrown out the cubes...and kept the large bag.
"If you like organization, get these. Great wedding gift too!" 07/25/11
These are awesome for road travel and/or car camping. Great for backpacking too, if you're not sure what you'll need once you get to the trailhead. Color-coding is fantastic. I suggest the Modular 4 for two people, that way each person gets two bags. Some people keep these in their car at all times for various things - dog harnesses/collars/mitts for skijoring, or first aid kit/flashlight/handwarmers for emergencies, etc. The possibilities are endless. They fold down easily for storing when not in use. Cons: the grey bag isn't very useful. Wish the pocket on top of each bag had a zipper or velcro, whatever I put in there (usually book or maps) falls out.
"Perfect" 03/11/11
The individual bags are perfect to organize by sport (one for rock climbing, one for bike stuff, one for gloves/helmets/socks/blanket/etc., one for car essentials/first aid). If you have a lot of gear, you can even use the grey bag to tote around larger items, like yoga mats, exercise balls, dog stuff, pillows, beach stuff or even groceries (so that things don't roll around in the back seat). It's so versatile, and all of the colored bags can be zippered closed, for safety. Worth the money for peace of mind. Organizer's dream for the outdoorsy individual.
