Used for fall, winter, and spring for five years, and there is not a scratch, tear, fray, or hole anywhere! Breathable, so you don't get clammy doing hard work. I wear them to hike, bike, work in an office, and sledding in the snow. Tension cords make adjustments easy (esp for biking). Zippered butt and thigh pockets keep a phone or camera secure without filling up the hip pockets. The rise is high; for us curvy ladies, it's nice to find a pant that fits a big booty. Most long underwear have a high rise anyway. Nips you in at the waist, plus no pulling your pants up when your pack is trying to pull them down. I'm 5'2" and 30" waist 38" hips and I went for the 8.
These pants are warm on their own, and have plenty of room for a layer of Capeline on a cold day. Rain just beads off of them, and they're really comfy.
I bought these for X-Country skiing and have loved them. I got the black, which look sharp, and the size was the same as any other pant. I would love these pants even more if they had a lower rise.
