I love these shirts for hiking. As I watch my husband have some episodes with skin cancer, I'm becoming more diligent about making sure I'm protected. These shirts are the perfect solution. They are so lightweight. And I love the colors. Thinking of getting a third... and maybe a fourth. In addition, nice length in both the body and the arms.
This is a really great, light shirt for traveling and hiking. Packs up small, weighs very little, wicks as it should, and puts up with several days of continuous wear outdoors without stinking up the place too much. Definitely one of my summer work mainstays. Plus the red is a really great shade!
I bought this for my time in India. This shirt is the perfect material for the humid and rainy conditions. It is also great for trekking because I can hand wash it and it will dry by morning. I've also used this for running in the states and found it to be extremely comfortable.
"very light weight, perfect for humid conditions"
I bought this shirt in both red and black and I find them both to be great for running outside as well as for humid weather. The fabric is extremely light weight and dries very quickly. I am bringing both of these items with me to India because they are easy to handwash and dry overnight, and they would be great for trekking.
In terms of quality, I think this shirt is a great layer. It's VERY lightweight, but not flimsy. It fits well and is comfy. I think it would do a great job of keeping a person warm on a hot day and wicking away perspiration. However, if you like to buy light-colored clothing (to reduce heat or bug exposure), you'll probably not want to get this in blue ice. The picture on Moosejaw shows it as being a light blue/green aqua color, but the product I received is a dark navy blue. Can't have that, so, sadly, I'll be returning it.
