"Super warm, super unflattering." 10/22/10
These are insanely warm. You can hardly feel any outdoor cold when you wear them. They are the warmest sweatpants on earth. They do have an awkward hip fit, they are not hip-slung and are worn a little high. They are a bit short but not overly short. I am 5'8" 150 lbs and the Medium fit me fine, and was normal length. They show your underwear line SO OBVIOUSLY. And they are not flattering. I am muscular, with limited fat and they make me look chunky. What they lack in flattering factor they make up for in utility... they are soooo warm. I love them. I wouldn't pay full price... so I paid $70 and they are worth it! Do not wear in rain and NOT for running though!!
"Felt great but poor fit in hip zone" 05/12/08
I hated having to return these but the size small I ordered were much more like an XS in the hip zone and as there's no zip, they just pull-up, this was a major issue, in other words I don't think Mountain Hardware's size chart is accurate for this item but I have other MH pants and they fit fine. I already knew the medium was far too big on me. But they felt wonderful so I'm sorry about the fit.

Too short I am 5'8, but very warm, like having a blanket around your legs, and light weight. Perfect for a cold, wet run. Or for sitting around in the winter. Or on a pool deck. Or just for a cold run.

The MW Women's Power Pant is a great article. It is super comfortable whether back and forth to gym, in yoga class, or après ski. Looks great on my fiancé and scored big points with this present.
