The Mountain Hardwear Women's Ozonic 58 OutDry Backpack is a hiking pack for trip lengths of a week or less. What makes this pack special and stand out from the rest is OutDry® construction of the main compartment. What does this mean for you? It means waterproof protection to the gear in your pack. Less worrying about what the weather is doing and more hiking and enjoying your trip. At 3 lb, 14 oz, the padded straps and hipbelts to keep things comfortable and HardWave suspension distributes the weight evenly over your back. Shove wet rain gear in the front stash pocket and water bottles or tent poles in the side mesh pockets. There is plenty of compression straps and loops throughout to cinch down your load and attach additional items to the exterior such as trekking poles or ice axes. Tuck a granola bar in your hip belt pocket and take off along the trail.

OutDry
OutDry utilizes a one-piece construction process that creates a waterproof breathable barrier which is heat-bonded directly to an outer fabric. This ensures that no water can get it, as there are no seams or gaps, but is still very breathable.

MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.

Some of the other bags have options for lighter trips, such as losing the padded hipbelt or removing the top pocket, are there any similar features for this bag?

Asked by: monica
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out to us! (Pleasantries). Ok, now that that's over, let's get down to business! While some other bags have several removable pieces, this bag will only have a removable zippered top pocket, not to mention a detachable lid. Hope this helps you out!

Does this bag have a hydration sleeve?

Asked by: tigster13
Hey there, Sadly this pack does not contain a hydration sleeve, however it does have two side pockets for water bottles. I hope this helps.

Seeing as this bag is waterproof, could you use it as a dry bag for canoeing? If it dunked under water would the contents stay dry?

Asked by: RyanU
This waterproof backpack has been tested and approved to keep the contents of the bag dry in heavy rain conditions for extended periods of time. It is not marketed as a dry bag. I believe that it would likely keep your gear dry if it fell into the drink, however I would not recommend submerging this bag in water to test this theory.
