Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good for casual wear, poor for temps below 50. I'd wear them as liners. I've got a medical condition that causes my fingers and toes to turn white (limited blood flow) when they get cold. To make things better, I have small hands with long, thin fingers. Finding a good pair of gloves is a pain in the backside for me. I'll start with the good: The gloves fit my hands well. The fingers weren't too bulky, and I liked that they stayed tight around the wrists despite being pulled in and out of my jackets. The bad: The wind cuts through them, despite the promise to keep your hands warm in cold and wet conditions. They don't trap any sort of heat. After twenty minutes in 36 degree weather, my fingers were stiff and ice cold. There's a considerable loss in dexterity with the gloves on. There's supposed to be patches that help with grip, but I found them to be useless. If you really want these, use them as liners. Otherwise, save some money and invest in a different pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm, Snug-fitting, Good for Casual Use I'm currently residing in Kabul, Afghanistan and it gets into the 30's at night and will only continue to get colder as we head into January. It also rains and snows here so i wanted a pair of warm, waterproof/resistant, utilitarian gloves. I read that the wool composition of these gloves will continue to keep your hands warm even if wet. That combined with the fitted style of the glove and the grip tape on the palms and forefinger made me decide to go with these Mountain Hardwear Wool Stretch gloves. ,,,,My hands are small (5.5 in. from base of palm to tip of finger) but I went with the medium. I'm glad I did because the opening of the gloves don't stretch much if at all and I have to squeeze my hand in. Other than that, the gloves fit great if not just a little loose. They do keep my hands warm in this 30 degree weather but they don't have much grip at all in the fingers so if you need to perform functions requiring grip in fingers and dexterity I would choose another glove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice gloves Got these for SWMBO to use on her bike commutes in the morning. Thus far her hands/fingers are still intact so I's say they're a success! She also has the MH EPIC glove to go over top when it starts to get REALLY cold. She's happy so I'm happy :)
