Expensive, but Worth The MoneyI was not sure if I would be satisfied with these gloves as they are so expensive, but they blew my expectations out of the water and are better than I expected! They have two layers to them so when in the snow and bitter cold one can use both layers, but when driving and in cold (not freezing) weather one can wear the inner layer alone. Having that option is what makes these gloves so spectacular. Living part time in the bitter Ontario winters one needs the best gloves to stay warm, and these are it for sure. They are so durable, warm, and versitle. They also have elastic around the wrist to keep the warm in and the cold/snow/wind out!! They are adjustable further up the arm if need be as well, so there is a double protection style to the outter layer glove. The inner layer is very warm and perfect for driving as they have a slight grip around the hand and fingers. These gloves are worth every single penny!

Wish I had gone with something else, especially for the price.I purchased these gloves last winter because it was brutally cold and nothing else was cutting it. I read the available information/reviews, and despite the steep price, I went for it. The first surprise was that the gloves do not look like the photo. That's because those are the inside liners. I'm a bigger fan of the liners, actually, and have worn those alone when weather permitted. Unfortunately, they connect to the outer gloves with velcro bits, so worn alone, with Velcro exposed, they stick to everything you're wearing - so even that is an imperfect experience. As for the outer gloves, I'm not a huge fan. They are mountaineering gloves with an enormous cuff - the cuff does keep snow out of your sleeves, but the style, for me, is awkward. As far as keeping my hands warm, when the temperature was in the 5 degree range - my hands got cold after 10 minutes cleaning my car/warming it up, but when the temperatures got up to the 30s or so, they did keep my hands toasty.

Not what I expected, but still lookin niceI was surprised when I received the gloves because they weren't what I was expected. And then I pulled out the inner layer and found what I was looking for :) The weather has gotten somewhat nicer here in Chicagoland so I might have to wait until next winter to really give these a go!
