I'm 5'7, 145lbs, and bought this skirt in a Medium. It's slightly on the big side, but I'm afraid if I size down it would be too "butt-hugging" ...Ummm, I'll stick with the medium. I definitely suggest if you have a traditional hourglass figure, or are slightly more pear-shaped, go by your hip measurements when buying this skirt! This product is really well made (another MH win!) with a very flattering cut - I can't wait to wear it with some really cool tights my Mother bought me as a gift :) This girl loves the Madness!
I wanted to leave a thorough review bc I read lots of reviews prior to purchasing and was convinced this skirt was going to be perfect! There are a lot of great things about this skirt. I love the fabric, it feels amazing and seems very durable which is what I was looking for. I also like the design across the front. What I don't like is the length and the fit. It falls to about my knee and is fairly loose. I am 130 lbs, size 5-6 jeans, 5'7'' athletic build and ordered a small. So it's possible that the x-small would have been perfect. Therefore if you are looking for something that is figure flattering and a little more clingy, I would size down if you do decide to order this skirt :)
I've bought many Mountain Hardware skirts. This style runs a little longer, and a little big. I didn't change sizes because I like them a little loose. They colors are great, they wear well, and they are just darn super.
