The previous review pretty well covers what you can expect from this pack. Yes it’s light – well that pretty much covers the good points. When going light weight there is always a tradeoff for comfort, but if it’s not functional what’s the point. Bottom line, burlap sacks are also light weight, cost less, and are equally as functional when compared to this back. I say buy the burlap sack and save the dough!
If you are looking for a durable expensive sack to put your gear in hear it is. Uli Steck, this inspiration behind this pack, is an awesome climber... but I am questioning his ability to design worth while gear.Pros Durable - dynama fiber on bottom and back, Light - lightest 40L pack around, Tools- Decent tool attachment I actually really liked this system, too bad the whole pack flops around while the tools are firmly attached.Cons - Bivi pad is a joke 3mm thick, bake panel squashes into an S while climbing, roll top puts 1/3 of the pack above your head in one huge lump, compression straps just squeeze the load in weird shapes.
