The gaiter is very lightweight, but feels like a quality product that will take some abuse (unlike some similar UL gaiters).A medium fits nicely around my size 9 shoe. The velcro straps up front take a few extra seconds to attach (verses a clip style), but it gives a much nicer fit and with the stretch it really conforms nicely to the shoe. This is defiantly the nicest running gaiter I have used so far.
