The Mountain Hardwear Scrambler RT 35 OutDry Backpack is a roll top backpack for hiking, climbing, and everything in between. At 35 liters it is suited just right for daytime adventuring, or incredibly ultralight overnighters. The best part is, OutDry® construction allows it to be waterproof. Padded shoulder straps, HardWave suspension and a webbing belt keep the load comfortable on your back. Quick access items can be stored in the front stash pocket and it even has drainage holes, in case you want to rid yourself of your rain jacket once the sky clears. MOUNTAIN HARDWEAR PACK FIT GUIDE and INFO

• Determine the correct pack size by measuring from the top of your hip shelf to the C7 vertebrae, which is the protruding bump at the base of the neck.

• If you think you are between pack sizes, consider how and when you will be using the pack. For example, if you will be using the pack primarily in the winter, when more and bulkier clothing is required, you may opt to size up.

• You can find Torso Range and other size information in the description FEATURES or SPECIFICATIONS for each Mountain Hardwear pack. You can also refer to the size guide below to compare the current season packs by category.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Little Funky but Perfect for Your Average Monkey Alright here we go. Skip to the end if you want the boring version. The title to this review should really be "There and Back Again: A Backpacks Tale". Why you might ask? Well lets get started. I'm pretty sure that while I was in Tajikistan the Soviet Union was proud as I climbed to the top of a random mountain for the heck of it. You know how the typical tale should go....I set out on a journey many years ago. I went to kill the dragon and save fair maiden. So as the story goes the day I made my summit push it was as if I had angered every piece of mythology known to mankind. The rain fell as I had never seen before. And the wind, oh the wind. It was is if Thor himself was blowing into a ram's horn. Then came the snow. Not the cute fluffy kind for snow angels. No this was a raging snow, the kind the abominable snow man was waiting for to ask his girlfriend to marry him. He thought it would be a cool story (pun intended). The snow fell from the heaven's like a meteor flying from the stars. So as I made my way to the top I prepared myself for the final step ahead of me....To conquer the beast and save the princess. I drew my trekking pole from the pack and wandered my way up the raging mountain only to find out I had been led astray. At the top there was no dragon nor fair maiden. Just a stone to take a photo upon to make me look epic. There wasn't even a sword for me to draw from the stone. Did you think I was an old mage or wizard? Perhaps a sage who has lived in a cave for a millennium? WRONG. I'm just an outdoorsman. The backpack is solid in its durability and waterpoofing. The ice tool loops a hair too small but I'm sure the Soviets could care less. They probably would have made a medal for this pack if they still existed. The roll top takes some getting used to but all in all a solid summit pack, day pack, or weekend pack. Oh PS it has actually been in a snow storm, dust storm, windstorm, and rainstorm. Still holds out fine. DISCLAIMER: has yet to be in a tsunami, tornado, meteor shower, or struck by lightning. I'm open to trying it in such elements though.
