"excellent little backpack!" 03/16/09
While this backpack doesnt have laptop sleeves, lumbar support, breathing vent for your back.... It does weigh NOTHING! literally.... NOTHING!If you want a backpack for summit day. This is IT! it's got an ice axe loop, completely waterproof, some nifty silicone thing... It definately can hold quite a bit of stuff...
"Great little pack for any use" 06/04/08
Awesome LITTLE pack. Super light, seems tough, although it hasn't really been put to the test yet. Even with the light straps, it has a good snug fit on your back. Perfect for day hikes or weekend trips. Don't worry, it's not as shiny as the picture shows.
"You need to buy this bag!" 05/06/08
This bag is perfect. I spent a weekend at my buddies place in New Haven, followed directly by the New Year in Princeton 4 days or so, and had enough clothing, reading material and other essentials to last the whole time including my phone charger and my Macbook Pro. I've climbed with it, tossed it around and forced a semester's worth of textbooks in there including the kind of calculus book that would drive you to live off in a commune.... It has stood up perfectly. I'm actually thinking about using just it and a hammock to do the appalachian trail soon... We'll see how it goes...
"Great not perfect" 01/17/08
Great pack for fast paced hiking and running. Not a great Alpine pack it would be perfect if it had two axe loops but it is possible to squeeze two axes in on loop. A pair of hiking poles fit well in the axe attachments. I would also like to see a waist strap to keep the pack from bouncing while running. I found it necessary when fully loaded to tie a knot in the arm straps to keep them from sliding loose. Overall I love this pack a use it everyday for overnight camping, day hikes, summit pack, gym bag, lunch bag.
"Great comfortable daypack" 12/11/07
Recently took this pack on a dayhike up Mt. Baldy in the snow. Performed flawlessly. Its waterproof so it kept everything nice and dry, plenty of space to pack the necessities. the only issue that i had was the pack's straps kept loosening, until i double backed the straps.... problem solved.
"Excellent small pack." 09/25/07
I'm using this as a summit and travel pack. I'll be removing the backplate, so it'll role/fold up into almost nothing, and I'll be able to keep it in my expedition pack. I've got a 6 climbing week trip in Peru, Chile, & Bolivia coming up, so I think this will work perfect. I've been a fan of Mountain Hardwear products for years & have had lots of success with their stuff, and this seems like another quality product.
