I got this sleeping bag as a Christmas gift for a friend. I wish I had gotten it for myself instead. He loves it, it looks cool, and people are jealous of it. That's the sign of a good gift. Based on his lack of complaining and the fact that he survived a 20 degree night last month, it appears this bag is warm and comfortable. While I was furiously ranting about the terrible zipper on my own bag, he gloated that his zipper worked great, never snagged, and didn't let any cold air in. It sounds like it's a pretty awesome bag. You should probably read someone else's review.

"Not too Shabby" 03/21/13

I bought this bag around a year or two ago, and I expected to be able to sleep in 20 degrees with it, but that was ignorant thinking. I backpack and camp with a hammock. So, anytime I have used this bag it has been in a hammock. (which makes the wind blow under you making you colder) In my opinion this bag is a spring/fall bag. It doesn't keep me very warm even in 40 degree weather... now that might be just because of sleeping in a hammock. Maybe in a tent you would get some insulation from a sleeping pad making it warmer. Otherwise I like it! It's very light, packs down small, and is warm in warmer climates.

Good warm bag that compresses easily into my pack. The zipper does not bind if you grab from the bottom.

"It's a great bag for Spring and Fall. Not for winter." 01/30/13

Good sleeping bag for 40 degree nights. OK sleeping bag for 30 degree nights. When it gets any lower than that, however, I lose my love for this bag. It is pretty light for a synthetic filled bag and packs down pretty small. It just wasn't designed well enough to provide actual comfort in weather chillier than 40 degrees. Also, the opening for your face is so big that when one tightens the drawstring, the bag gets a little shorter. I like this bag a lot, I just will not use it during cooler winter nights. I'm going to invest in some real down and a loftier bag.

"Nice warm bag, but a bit tight for me" 12/01/12

If I were a little smaller through the upper body, or less of a toss-n-turn kind of sleeper, this bag would have worked really well for me. As it was, I pretty claustrophobic, and had a hard time sleeping because of it. That's not really the bag's fault....I just mention it in case you're new to mummy-style bags (as I am). Otherwise, it was great. The coldest night I spent in it was about 28F, and I stayed pretty warm (I was using a sleeping pad, too, which seemed to help). The zipper snags pretty easily, but apart from that I didn't have any problems.

"Can't beat it with a stick" 10/03/12

This sleeping bag is still fairly light, warmer than it looks, and completely affordable. It compacts down very well for backpacking with a compression sack. I'm a beginner to the whole backpacking thing, but my friends who got into it slightly before me went to a not moosejaw store and spent almost $600 on all of their gear. Decent sleeping bags for backpacking cost well over $100, but honestly this one is comparable to my friends over priced sleeping bags. What I'm trying to say:For a beginner, don't overspend. This sleeping bag is the best you'll find for the price. Buy it and lie to your friends about how much you paid for it. Use the money you save for more gear!!

"Excellent Sleeping Bag for the Money" 09/21/12

Got one of these a while back as an inexpensive bag to take car camping. Whelp, something happened to another bag I used to take out on the trail. Dismayed, I took this one. But for no reason, because this bag is perfect for early spring and late fall treks in the Southern Appalachians. Indeed, if you put a good liner in it, it's almost like an oven. For the price, you can't beat this sleeping bag.

"Awesome 20 degree bag" 06/02/12

This bag is really sweet. It's not quite as compressible as the MHW Lamina that my brother has, but at around have the price, you can't really beat this bag. Its also pretty light weight in comparison to some of my old bags. Also, I haven't had any real problems with the zipper getting caught. As long as you take it slow and use your finger to block fabric, it will work just fine. The hood tightens down really well with the two draw cords.

"great sleeping bag" 05/24/12

this is an awesome bag for the budget minded backpacker. its weight is great for a 20 degree synthetic bag. down is the way to go but if you dont have the cash for it, i can not reccomend this bag enough. the zipper can get caught if youre careless but is easy to avoid if you are watching what you do

"Awesome Bag" 03/17/12

This bag was awesome zipper runs pretty smooth. Packs down small and is light. This bag is perfect for camping until it gets really cold and even then i good sleeping pad would let you stay warm in the cold. Don't hesitate to buy this bag its a great deal.
