This sleeping bag is my first next level camp sleep product. I've had the same old Mountain Hardware bag since the late 90s and, as much as I love no-loft down and torn synthetic fabric, I have to say that this sleeptube is an improvement. The hood actually feels good (though it does freak my dog out some and he tries to lick my eyes) and there is a little pocket next to your face for an alarm clark or cell phone or photo of a loved one. It is super warm and fluffy--the included hamper-sized bag lets your store it without smooshing up the down, while the additional stuff sack has some decent feeling compression straps. The one thing I have to complain about--and this is not really a complaint, since I knew about the baffling before purchase--is that unlike my GF's super fancy Feathered Friends bag, the Mountain Hardware doesn't feature continuous baffles, so I can't adjust the down like she can. More an upside to FF than a downside to MH though. Great bag, overall.
This bag packs down so small that its almost an afterthought in your bag. The 800 fill down is lofty and warm once you take it out of its tiny home. While it's certainly not cheap, it is definitely a premium product, and has the MH logo and reputation to back it up. Would buy again and again.
