"Light, Warm, and Packable" 03/08/12
After a 10 day backcountry trip in the rockies and was very pleased. Most nights the temps dipped to well below 0 deg F and I was still warm enough without any additional layering (boxers only) The bag packs down nice and small and weighs next to nothing. The included compression sack (although it has no compression straps) packs the bag down small enough that it will do for now and does have coating on the fabric to help keep out water. All the pulls for cinching down the hood and collar are user friendly, the only thing that requires some finesse is the zipper. There is not much of a guard behind it to prevent snags so dont go for the full unzip when your half awake bc it will snag.

This is the first down bag I have ever used so I decided to put it to the test. Against my wife's wishes, I set this guy up on my porch (atop a thermarest neo) inside a thin 3 season tent when temps in Ohio were around 7 degrees F. Slept wonderfully.Later in the week, I turned the heat off in the house and climbed into the bag to see how it would handle 'warmer' weather. If you are planning on using this for anything over say 35 degrees F, plan on unzipping at least part way... or sleeping naked :) as it gets very toasty. The only down side is.... now my wife thinks I'm an obsessive nut!
"Warm'n Light" 05/18/10
Super warm bag especially for how light it is. The cut is pretty narrow so I had to get used to it a bit. The zipper is also short ,pretty much half length, I don't find that problem either. It compresses super small. I would Buy again and again. The small sack it comes with is pretty small but you can get it into a smaller compression sack. It repels light moisture, but still take a bivy.
