"Best Jacket Ever" 05/11/13

I've had this jacket for about a year now and it's wonderful! I live in Vancouver, BC, where it's fairly mild but rains a lot. I wear this jacket almost everyday, and it's taken a beating and still keeps the rain and wind out! I have average length arms, so the cuffs work pretty well and keeps the wind and rain out and keeps my hands warm. I've had other Gore-Tex jackets before but they can't compare to this jacket. It's my favourite jacket!

"Very Breathable Jacket" 04/07/13

It seems to be something between softsheel and hardshell.It offers high level of breathability.I felt comfortable last month when I climbed Mount Huangshan just as MHW says “It starts working the instant you put it on”. I love Dry.Q Elite and maybe it will be trend to combine the features of softsheel and hardshell.

"Bright colors, but get dirty easily." 02/25/13

It color is so bright but it is very easy to get dirty. I should wear it carefully when come out. The shell can not always wash it. It really make me feel inconvenient.

"Perfect for rainy days" 02/22/13

I bought this jacket for my husband because he wanted a waterproof soft-shell. The small fit perfectly, a little too perfect if wanting to wear layers underneath. The jacket has kept him dry, but not warm. We paired this jacket with the Ghost Whisperer so that he can stay warm.

"Worth the money" 01/18/13

I got a Medium, I'm 5'10" 175lbs and it fits great, except the elbows. Tested it out in both the wind and rain and it has kept me both dry and warm (I was wearing a t-shirt under it on a 32 degree windy day) it has done all it advertised. I am very happy with my purchase, my one complaint is the pit zips, I wish it was more like Arc'teryx where you can zip up and down with one hand.

"great jacket" 12/15/12

I was really suprised by this jacket. I live in Hawaii and it breathes so well i can actually wear it for short sudden rainstorms it breathes so well. I climbed Aconcagua in it last winter and it seems to breathe so well that you lose more heat than you would another tech shell. I also climbed a lot of vertical rock in it in lower patagonia and RMNP this year and it has held up to a lot of abuse. I have surfers shoulders and it has never been too constricting on a climb either. If its pouring buckets you're probably going to get wet unless you treated it this morning, but I think all jackets are like that really. bottom line when things get nasty you wont be worrying about your outerwear

"Looking forward to trying it out!" 12/01/12

Just got this in. It fits me great, I was a little worried after reading some reviews. Nice finish on the shell. Love the butter cuffs, again was a little worried. Guess I have short arms.

"Great hardshell protection without the hardshell noise" 11/05/12

I bought this jacket mainly to use in the summers for work and I must say I am impressed. While my co-workers are wearing heavy PVC raingear I am comfortably wearing this lightweight shell with just as much protection. I went on a 45 minute boat ride in the rain and came out dry. The only cons that I have found is that the hood is excessively large even with a helmet and that the zippers take a long time to break in. I bought a small and it fits good by itself or with a down jacket underneath. I am 5'7, 150 pounds with a wrestler build. This jacket was on the tighter side of mountain hardwear small sized jackets.

"This is a poorly designed jacket" 10/27/12

I am a fan of Mountain Hardwear, but this is a poorly designed jacket. Mountain Hardwear calls it "ideal for any climb". It should say "ideal for any climb that you dont lift your arms." When you do lif your arms in this jacket, it rides up, a lot. I am 6'1" 195 lbs and when I raise my arms above my head in my size Large, it rides up at least 6". The hem comes up to at least my belly button. While this jacket feels solid, has nice features, looks good, and seems to be well built, its terrible cut makes all of that pointless. Dont but this jacket if you lift arms higher that shoulder height and want to stay dry.

"Mountain Hardware Kepler" 08/02/12

I'm giving it four stars because the fabric is savvy and this things totally feels bombproof. Serious zippers. Serious fabric.Unfortunately, compared to other MH jackets (I most recently purchased the Cutaway), this is kinda snug. I know they say softshell, but it's definitely different, with much less stretch. It's also cut kinda close in the armpits and sleeves. I'm 5'7 140, and got the medium, but this thing seriously pulls at my armpits and elbows when I move around. The sleeves are also shorter than the other comparable softshells I've tried (MH, Stoic, EMS, Arcteryx). And there's crinkle. I definitely feel crinkle. Not awful, but this is definitely more firm-shell than soft.
