"Love it but lost" 01/02/12
Bought this jacket last year and I have loved it since. I'm a skinny 6'1" 170lbs and got the large. This is an "athletic / active" fitting jacket, which is perfect for my build. When I first bought it I was fine wearing only a t-shirt under it down to about 35*F.After having the jacket for a season I have noticed that it's lost some of its warmth. This is especially noticeable on the upper back where I constantly feel the cold coming through. I'd recommend wearing a fleece underneath for anything colder than 30*F.Pros:-Stretch material-Length (torso and arms)-Nice fitting hood with brimCons:-Lost a lot of it's warmth after one season-No zipper draft guards or snow net on pit zips.
"Radical, Versatile Jacket" 11/18/11
Exceptionally versatile. The supple exterior resists anything other than a sustained downpour. The insulation keeps you toasty unless you're literally standing stationary in below-freezing temps with no pants on (who does that?). But because of the breathability of softshell and the invaluable pit zips, it doesn't overheat. The insulation is low-profile so as not to make the jacket look noticeably puffier than a normal softshell.I'm super stoked on this jacket. Great for hiking, snowboarding, or just around town--especially Seattle where it's 30-50 degrees and drizzling 6 months a year.
