"Love this vest." 03/21/11
I love vests because they provide core warmth without making you stuffy. The MH tech vest is amazing because it provides windproofness with a very low bulk, and it's very pliable and packable, great for trips where weight matters. Definitely windproof, and strong construction. I would size down if you are in between sizes with MH - I wear the tech jacket in a L, but the vest in a M (especially since it's a lower-layer piece).

As compared to regular fleece, this vest really makes a difference. On a really windy day you hardly notice the wind. Looks good and fits nice. The logo is kind of massive but that's not really a big deal (just not sure why it's so big...). Anyway, love this vest and expect it will be part of my gear for casual, camping, hiking, and any other use for many years.

I've had this west for several years now, and it's definitely one of the most versatile pieces of clothing that I own. It's perfect for keeping out the nasty wind on a cool windy day, and I find that even when it's a bit wet it still maintains it's windproof quality. I've actually also got the jacket, and they're two of my favorite pieces of outdoor clothing. One note though, the vest and the jacket fit differently...I'm 5'11", 185 pounds and I wear a medium in the vest, but the medium jacket doesn't fit me at all. Buy it and love it!
"My husband loves this vest" 12/19/10
I bought this for my husband, and he loves it. It is lightweight, yet warm. It fits over everything, and is structured, so it never looks sloppy. My picky husband also likes where the pockets are located:). He really loves this and refused to start wearing his regular coat (instead of this vest) until the first snow fell this year.

Hits right at your waist and is snug (usual MH fit). But totally windproof and could even pass in a semi-work environment. Maybe. But my better half just scoffed when I wrote that, so maybe stick to the woods. Thinner than you'd expect but warmer than most fleece.
"Great all around performance" 11/30/10
I bought this vest for the early Fall and upcoming Spring weather and I could not be happier with my purchase. I wear this with a long sleeve thermal shirt and I'm comfortable even in temps down in the 40's. The windstopper material lives up to its billing - you won't feel a thing. I like the way it provides warmth without bulk. The low profile fleece doesn't restrict movement. I found it useful in many situations from leisure walks to jogging and golfing. This vest has it all!
"BACK IN BLACK!!!" 10/21/10
This vest serves all practical purposes ... a quick jaunt to the mailbox on a chilly morning ... a nice lightweight layer on a windy day while watching your daughter play 3rd grade soccer ... a stylish garment without the flash when out on the town. It fits pretty true to size so if you want something a little less form fitting, better get the XL (I'm 5'101/2" and about 185 LBS). I bought a large in BLACK and take it everywhere!
