"Flawless since 2004" 03/09/12
This has been my go-to jacket since Aug '04 (not a typo), wearing it just about everyday from Oct-Mar. I think I got it for $125 back then. Do the math, and we're probably looking at fractions of a penny for each day of use. Comfortable from 30-60 degrees. Could probably go lower, but I've never wore much more than a t-shirt and sweater under it.I'm 5'8, 165 lbs., and the Medium is perfect. The black material is tough. I wiped out on my bike a few weeks back. Probably going 15-20 mph. I thought for sure I had ripped it and would finally be getting a new jacket. But, no such luck. Not even a scuff. So, I guess I'm going to keep it for another 7 years.
"Windslower for sure" 01/16/12
I've worn my windstopper for year and love it. Doesn't completely block the wind like a shell would but better than just your average fleece for sure. Comfortable and tough I've worn it for years juts going to school or work or on serious backpacking and mountaineering ventures. Looks great and is good for a lot of different weather, as a mid layer in extreme cold, alone on cool days, and with pit zips down if you warm up. Also seems to shed water fairly well at least to keep you from getting soaked in light rain. Overall my stand buy jacket but would like it to be a little warmer.
"A fantastic gift to my father" 12/03/11
I love this cloth when I saw it in store. Then I ordered an M size for myself. It's regret Moosejaw did not keep M size although I ordered it. Then I thought I can buy an S size as birthday gift to my father. He really likes it although it looks a little bit larger to him. He is 5'7" and 105 lbs.
"Fitting is off" 10/20/11
I am a slim guy (chest 35 waist 28) and bought the "S" size. It is still waay too big. Lots of extra room in the arms and gut. If Mountain Hardwear had made this in XS and also in women's sizes, im sure they would have alot more customers! That said, features are pretty good, especially the windstopper fleece which works as advertised, and the numerous pockets.

"Its nice and it looks cool" 08/26/11
Its a nice jacket and it resembles the North Face so it looks really cool its comfortable and it fits on you really well my only problem with it is that theres not a lot of pocket room but you dont need to much but I prefer to have a little more
"sick nasty" 07/20/11
a totally awesome product that should not be over looked. I have worn this thing in the dead of the winter with no other layers and this thing has kept me crazy warm. You should for sure purchase this item if you are planning on it!
"Great jacket, fills good niche" 03/21/11
Warm, windproof - definitely the Gore Windstopper works. But also light, thin, and packable - this is unusual for a softshell with a windproof layer. No wind gets through with breath-through test, and outdoors has performed likewise. There are nylon as well as fleece-feel panels in different areas on the outer surface, so not quite as water-resistant as NF's Apex series - but the packability makes up for it. Fleece lined, but if you really need warmth, layer with a longsleeve or microfleece underneath. Runs a little small - I usually wear M but went with L in this. Great innovation with the sleeve bushings, and the zipper pulls are solid.
