"Worth every cent"  12/02/11

Great pants. Perfect for those cold snowy days. Great for winter climbing. If they weren't so pricey, I'd have 3 or 4 pair. The fit is as advertised.

"Perfect Cold Weather Climbing Pants"  11/10/11

Awesome freedom of movement. Impossibly thin lining offers no constriction, yet feels as warm as microfleece tights. I wouldn't wear a baselayer above freezing - too warm. Cargo pocket is generous. I love that the hand pockets zip down to close. All zippers have pulls, even fly.5'10", 34 waist, sizeable legs, large is perfect. Didn't need belt/suspender loops but they don't get in the way.Ankles are gusseted, so full protection when open. Drawcords to cinch around your ankles, and small webbing loops to attach a cord to secure under your boot to keep them in place. MHW really thought of everything with these pants.

"What you would expect from Moutain Hardware"  03/20/11

The Sarpa Pant exceeded expectations on the ice at Pictured Rocks NP. Rugged and water resistant and would have secured a flawless performance if not for the hole caused by crampons which cannot be blamed on the pants; simply my lack of coordination.

"This a a top of the line pant at a middle line price."  09/16/10

I was at first apprehensive to purchase these. I knew that MH made good gear, but these were new, not reviewed, and were fairly cheap. But after getting them, I knew I made the right decision. First thing I want to point out is the fit. I am 6'2", 170 lbs. and a size Medium fits perfectly. I was worried that they would be to short, but they fall right to the top of the foot, and the waist if perfectly snug. The next thing is the actual construction itself. The fabric it perfectly water-resistant, and windproof yet still very breathable. And the soft fleece inside makes them super warm. Fleece lined pockets, and zipped ankles make this one of the best pieces of clothing i've bought.
