Pretty darn good gaiterIt's a little pricey but from my opinion well worth it. I live in Alaska and before I hiked with gaiters, the upper parts of my socks and bottom of my pants would be soaking wet and covered in mud, dirt, and flora... Mtn Hardware calls these waterproof and so far I've had great luck and dry socks! Hiking with these on is a great experience and in my opinion worth the extra $. I where a size 12 shoe and ordered the large and I do think they are a little bug for me though...

great fit w/ big boots the Mediums are still BIGI have a pair of EMS gaiters and acquired a brandy new pair of Scarpa Mountaineering boots for christmas from (Moosejaw) my EMS gaiters wouldn't fit w/ the new boots being insulated and much larger so these Mountain Hardwear Gaiters stretch and fit very well i wear a size 10 and these stretch around them perfectly, very happy and would recommend.

Good Gaiters, They run a little bigUsed these on Rainier. they kept my pants dry, but did trap snow underneath them while glissading down inter-glacier. make sure they're on tight to avoid this.
