Used these on Rainier. they kept my pants dry, but did trap snow underneath them while glissading down inter-glacier. make sure they're on tight to avoid this.
It's a little pricey but from my opinion well worth it. I live in Alaska and before I hiked with gaiters, the upper parts of my socks and bottom of my pants would be soaking wet and covered in mud, dirt, and flora... Mtn Hardware calls these waterproof and so far I've had great luck and dry socks! Hiking with these on is a great experience and in my opinion worth the extra $. I where a size 12 shoe and ordered the large and I do think they are a little bug for me though...
