"This is an AWESOME jacket" 12/26/11
I love this jacket, it is very light and kept me very warm. It's very comfortable and not real bulky and doesn't bunch up underneath the straps on my pack. I do miss not having a pocket on the chest like my other jackets have but I guess I'm just used to having that. Other than that, I have no complaints what so ever.

This is my go-to jacket for all occasions. It is very light and rolls up into its own pocket. The jacket is very warm and with just a sweater underneath I am comfortable below freezing. Te jacket seems to allow my body to adjust to temperatures very well. I can wear it inside comfortably then go outside in the snow and still be perfectly content. The jacket is amazing. I would recommend purchasing the hooded version, I am very glad to have this hood, It adds a lot of warmth with almost no weight.
"Ultra Light, Good Fitting Mid Layer" 09/24/11
I live in interior Alaska where temps drop to -50, most the time -30 sustained in the winter. I needed a solid midlayer down jacket to wear underneath my Arcteryx Theta (awesome by the way). I have done a lot of research on choosing a good midlayer component for this next winter and went with the Nitrous hoody due to being 800DF, and extremely light weight. You don't even know your wearing a coat when you put this on because of how light it is. I wore it by itself in 40 temp yesterday with light wind walking the hunds and I was toasty.Size is true, I'm 5'10" 180lbs and could have worn a medium, but I wanted some more room to layer underneath and went with a large.
