"Say goodbye to crotch sweat" 02/25/10
I love this so much I bought TWO (OK so one was the next size larger due to my growth ...) I love my Mountain Kilt. I can use it to cover up my spandex thong (no, my swimsuit is a little bigger than that) but it makes the transition from clothed to ready to dive in much shorter as I can step out of it. I wear it while hiking down the trail and my boys can breathe. I wear it over my base layer while I'm running around finishing the last tasks before putting on the outer layer and don't have the granny's trying to pinch my tight formed body
"Killer design, Runs a size small." 07/30/09
I have hiked up Morro Rock Seq. and down again very windy. Disappointed a women watching, expecting a flash, but they only inflated, with the straps cinched up. Riding my bike, the flaps stay down, I haven't flashed anyone yet. I've even swam in it. It does float, so you would have to button up for modesty. Very comfy, fast drying. I've had no comments, but lots of looks. Real men wear what they want, try it you'll like it. You can follow trends or set them. Great for hiking, total freedom of movement. Hope to see more styles.

Good quailty product but runs Small. Practical out on the trail but not for around the neighborhood. MtHardwear could improve the design and create better sizing. Would like to see it in longer lengths and not so skorty. Very comfortable in a erotic kind of way. I will buy it again soon (my dog ate it:( ).
"Good alternitive in hot weather" 04/11/09
Im a fit guy 6-3, about 160 with a 30 waist. I got a size small, at the time it was the only size avalible other then large. It does fit but almost to snug. I just found a med and orderd it. I got the chance to wear it on a very windy day and was impressed that it did a great job in the wind. I do wear thin bikini underwear with it since the breeze pressing against the front shows "outline" to much with no underwear. Has same material as nylon running shorts, very light material. I did wear it at the gym and does a good job expecially some of you shy type that use the "modest" snap at the bottom.

Order a size up. Call me a bitch, see if I care, while your ass sweat chafes your cheeks. Dry and airy all day long. Access like no other. A must for desert or summer hiking. Don't be scared, bifurcation is for sissies.
"blarny good feelin'" 03/15/08
I borrowed my friend's mnt hardwear kilt this summer to go hiking and I have never experienced anything so freeing in my entire life! nice breeze to be felt and comfortable like nothing else! I felt like whistling the tune of loc lomond or danny boy but besides that I couldn't be happier hiking in a kilt.
"Great purchase." 11/07/07
This thing is awesome! I wore one during my thru-hike of the Appalachian trail a few years ago and plan to use it again for the PCT next year. While the original is a little grubby now, it's still the most comfortable and resiliant thing I have found to hike in. The hidden pocket is the perfect size for maps if you're a dork like me and the zip pocket is nice for keeping an ID or keys in. I have bought them for all of my girl and guy friends that hike.
