"BUY IT"  05/10/12

ITS AWESOME PERIOD. This jacket is super warm, try one on before you buy it though. You may need a wind breaker to put over it. It hardly stops the wind.

"Nice but too small"  02/20/12

This is a good jacket. Looks good, very soft and warm, but I think size L would be better for me. I live in Siberia and use it for winter running. I wear only underwear (MHW Integral zip T) and this jacket and run normally at temperatures down to -15F

"VERSATILITY at its BEST!!!"  02/09/12

This jacket exceeded my expectations !! warm enough its all i wear on 20-30 degree days with a long sleeve underneath, it is warm and snuggly, as well as breathable! Throw on a dry-q elite shell from Mountain Hard Wear over the top and no elements will ever bother you again!! It is a very athletic tight fit and is not a jacket that will get in your way while climbing, skiing, or just rolling in the snow with a hot mama! I do have to admit, the MONKEY LITE is warmer than the MONKEY MAN jacket(due to the tighter fit at the waist, and the hood keeping the cold air out and warmth inside! i own both and wouldn't return either!!

"Warm, Sleek, and makes the girlies wanna hug you!"  01/17/11

EXCELLENT midlayer piece! It fits close for maximum heat retention and the thumb holes are super nice! The hood is a bit bulky (maybe cut to go over a helmet?) but fits well under a helmet. Paired with a wool baselayer and a Windstopper jacket, this MH piece has kept me warm all winter. The pockets are also very spacious which is great if you're packing gear, phone, or ice cream sandwiches. Highly recommended!

"Midlayer Perfection"  01/11/11

If you are searching for a hoody that will double as your winter jacket, keeping you warm on the long walk from the parking lot to your 9AM Western Civ class, move along. This is not that hoody. If you are a backpacker, snowboarder, hiker, trailrunner, etc. and you want an insulating layer that is going to keep you warm, breathe well, and dry quickly- you won't regret buying the MM Lite. It has an extremely athletic (read: slim) fit, so buy a size up. DO NOT EXPECT ANY WIND PROTECTION; you will be disappointed. I wear it daily, on trail and off, and it is without question my favorite garment. Similar to, but warmer and more comfortable than, the Patagonia R1 series.
