The Mountain Hardwear Men's Micro Ratio Down Jacket is a compressible down jacket for warmth while backpacking. The Micro Ratio Down has been packed with Q.Shield™ DOWN 650-fill insulation, providing you with 12.1 ounces of warmth that keeps you cozy, even if it gets wet. The down is encased and protected by the Hi-Five™ 30D nylon ripstop fabric that is durable for the rigors of the backcountry. The drawcord adjusts at two points at the hem to block drafts with elastic at the cuffs to seal drafts from entering the sleeves. When the weather shifts or you've worked up enough sweat to shed a layer, the whole jacket can be packed into it's own pocket until the sun sets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Daily Jacket I bought this for the extreme winter conditions of Dallas, Texas. It works perfectly for colder mornings (30-40 degrees) to take my daughter to school when I do not feel like putting on a shirt (just jacket over skin!). It also kept me warm on a few really cold nights down to around 20 degrees where I sat outside for several hours with friends (with sweatshirt underneath). I like it because most of my friends have similar lightweight NF or Pat down jackets, and I sport the MH to be different. It is hard to tell from the picture, but the shark color is a nice dark grey. It is definitely not black. All around great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I bought this because I never had a puffy down and was looking for something light and comfortable. I love this and it is lighter than expected and the Medium fit perfectly (5'11, 175lb). At work in the office I see random employees wearing my jacket because they love it too! Best jacket purchase ever!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, but a little roomy The down keeps your real warm, especially here in New England, and it is really comfortable. I love how the jacket can be stuffed into one of the pockets. I use it as a pillow of long bus rides, and will probably use when I go camping. The only downside is that it is a little roomy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super warm and packs down nicely Bought this as a winter coat to travel with. Packs down to nothing in my suitcase, is incredibly warm and comfortable. I'm 6'3", 225lbs, the XL fits a little looser than I thought it would but the coat and sleeve length are perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket Jacket was purchased for my dad. It has an athletic trim and fits him very well. It's warm enough to wear on its own in the fall and it can be layered with a shell in the winter. It packs very small, making it perfect for traveling

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this as a poser jacket Got this too keep my real backcountry jacket safe from urban assault. But ended up liking this better than my other MTN Hardware jacket, plus my other one is so fresh. Nah, good jacket lightweight, nice stuff pocket and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Off The Chain Super light weight and incredibly warm. I tried on several down jackets and this fit the best. I am a 5'11" 200lb Men's L and it fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good 3-season jacket A good, lightweight down jacket for milder temperatures. Dry-Q down is a bonus.

Anyone know how puffy this jacket is? I want a good winter jacket but don't want to look like the Michelin man. Also anyone seen the Phoenix Blue/Underbrush color in person? Wondering how it looks compared to the picture?

Asked by: Chris
Hey there, Thanks for reaching out to us! Lots of questions, so I'll take them one at a time: This jacket is not that puffy at all. This is a good winter jacket, and you will not look like the Michellin man. I have seen the Blue/Underbrush color in person! In fact, I have it on my desk right now. And it's going to look just like it does on our site. Hope this helped you out!
